Now the Black Panthers are a hate group.

The stupidity is killing my brain cells.
my sloppiness there, i meant the new black panthers, along with about 112 other black separatist groups.

no doubt you'll be just as indignant.

that was the line of doublespeak they wanted to pedal after their deplorable actions drew heat.

actions speak louder than words.

but let's take them on their word: that leaves you defending a group which says sexuality is not a fundamental international right. that puts you in line with those uber-scary preachers of sharia law that have you browning up your tighty-whiteys.
That leaves me defending a group doing the same things as groups you defend are doing. Advocate. Lobby.

Your panties are in a wad because you disagree. Nothing more.

the coward is the one telling people that american mosques are practicing sharia law and making his laundry bill more expensive because he can't read the first amendment.
The only problem is I never stated that American Mosques practice Shairia Law. I will state that inside American Mosques, Sharia Law as practiced throughout the Islamic world, is not condemned.

And I can read the First Amendment.

Just as I can read "In God We Trust" on my currency.

that little piece of bigotry disguised under the false pretense of "christian values" is but a small part of it.

millions and millions of dollars have been donated to make sure that gays are treated like second class citizens, thought of as mentally ill, compared to pedophiles, and deprived their equal rights that the 14th amendment calls for.

just because you choose to purposely ignore the PROOF of these donations does not mean it does not exist.

again, i'm sure these religious bigots are glad to have a political hack like you to stick up for them.
Up until now you have not provided anything beyond proof of your own gullibility. Propaganda bullshit.

Buck called me a hack. Whatever shall I do?

McWhirter, Cameron (2012-7-27). "Chick-fil-A's Long Christian Heritage". Wall Street Journal.
Oh, Sweet merciful Jesus! A company with a Christian heritage! I was completely wrong. They should be bomb-threated. :-P

"Form 990-PF: Return of Private Foundation" (pdf). WinShape Foundation, Inc.. Guidestar. 2010.
A forty-four page tax return. Well, at least it proves the foundation is a separate entity from Chick-Fil-A.

A grant to an AIDs charity. Those bastards. Those motherfuckers.
Another $1,000 smackers to the FRC. ASSHOLES!
Fellowship of Christian Athletes. No fucking way! We athletes will pray away the gay!
The Hideaway Foundation. Dedicated to marriage counseling. Inconceivable!
Scholarships, ministries, churches, foster care, pregnancy services, etc. Those fiends!
Oh wait! The smoking Gun. The Marriage & Family Foundation. HOW DARE THEY!
Another! $1,000 to the Exodus Foundation. I wonder how much gay a thousand smackeroos prays away? :-P

I tell you what, when these organizations start forcing people to pray their gay away against their will, I will join you in opposition. Until then I will simply dismiss those groups as ludicrous.

Buck, I just see a foundation doing a lot of good by supporting charities of its choosing. And there is nothing wrong with that.

Problem. Although the article states what you have been saying since yesterday, the link to the proof in the article gets a 404 error. File not found.

You should read your own sources before presenting them.

But it's in the original article so we'll go with it. It claims a donation of up to $2 million to the Marriage & Family Legacy Fund in 2009.

Unfortunately, I could not find it or the $2 million listed in the 2009 Tax return you provided me. At all.

I found a Marriage and Family Foundation grant for $1,188,380.

But let's assume it's true. The Marriage and Family Legacy Fund. $2 million.

I don't believe it! I mean I just don't fucking believe it!

How DARE they promote marriage and family. :-P

A small group of protestors chant "CHick-Fil-A is anti-Gay!"

The company had refuted claims it is anti-gay.

Wow that is rock solid evidence, Buck.

The Puff Ho.

Buck, if I am Breitbart's hack; you are most assuredly Adrianna Huffington's prison bitch.

I wish had read this before going through the tax return. They would just tell me who the evil people are.

When you've lost the Muppets, you've lost middle America.

Hang your head in shame, Chick-Fil-A. Someone in Hollywood does not like you.

This one is referenced in the Puff Ho article.

Not much different except it now incudes information for 2010 as well as 2009.

Funny how they complain only about the organizations they hate, and have nothing to say about other oganizations receiving grants.

Boucly, Chris (July 24, 2012). "Gay youths plan protest against Chick-fil-A". The Orange County Register. Retrieved July 26, 2012. "$3.84 million was contributed primarily to Christian organizations such as Marriage and Family Foundation, which received $1.18 million, and Family Research Council, which received $1,000. The Family Research Council "believes that homosexual conduct is harmful to the persons who engage in it and to society at large," according to its Web site. The Marriage and Family Foundation, whose chairman is Chick-fil-A senior vice president Donald Cathy, gave grants totaling $639,000 to six organizations that support strong traditional marriages and families."
This is related to the current round of protests.

Some teeny-boppers don't like that a mean man gave his opinion in support of the traditional family.

Well that's it.

The Foundation donated money, some to groups Proggies disagree with.

First Amendment, Buck. You don't have to like the speech, but you can't get the government to suppress it. Not yet, anyway.

After all, that's what these protests are really about. :fire:

Okay, I'm pooped. Time to crack a cold one.

Your panties are in a wad because you disagree. Nothing more.
they advocate and lobby to deny rights to gay people. and you're defending that for some odd reason, despite that it violates your beliefs about the 14th amendment.

classy. rich. smooth.

and i'm not wearing my panties today, heat wave.

The only problem is I never stated that American Mosques practice Shairia Law. I will state that inside American Mosques, Sharia Law as practiced throughout the Islamic world, is not condemned.

And I can read the First Amendment.

Just as I can read "In God We Trust" on my currency.
you said for people to go protest outside of mosques, as if they were practicing sharia law.

and you con't strike me as someone who has ever entered a mosque, so i will question your authority on what happens inside mosques.

Some teeny-boppers don't like that a mean man gave his opinion in support of the traditional family.

Well that's it.

The Foundation donated money, some to groups Proggies disagree with.
you mean to hate groups that are on the same list as neo-nazis, the KKK, black separatists, neo-confederates, and the like. hate groups, johnny.

and other groups which actively work to deny rights to gays.

First Amendment, Buck. You don't have to like the speech, but you can't get the government to suppress it. Not yet, anyway.

there goes the johnny propaganda machine, trying to spread the lie that the protestors want chick-kill-gay's first amendment rights infringed.

LOL!

laughable, man.

the protestors are just expressing their first amendment rights, just as chick-kill-gay does when they send money to hate groups in keeping with their "christian" values.

it is also similar to how the religious bigots boycott department stores because they had the audacity to hire an openly gay spokesperson.

what is this country coming to when gay people can openly be gay?

seems like some of rick perry rubbed off on you down there, johnny. maybe you can pray away the gay after you get done praying for rain.

i'm not mad, i'm rather enjoying this since you have all but retired from the politics section.

were you really not aware of these millions? or were you just hoping that as long as i didn't post them for you that they didn't exist?

i mean, whaddya think ignited this whole controversy, a simple statement by the owner of chick-kill-gay?
I was not aware.

That's why I kept asking for some sort of evidence of it.

i just found out that the FRC, to who chick-kill-gay has donated lots of money over the years, is actually a HATE GROUP.

now that's rich.

the FRC is on par with the KKK or the black panthers. and chick-kill-gay loves to send them their dollars.

how decidedly "christian" of them.

LOL!

glad it's you defending them johnny, not me.
So the SPLC declared the FRC a spooky 'hate group' in the Winter of 2010.

Quite convenient, yes?

They were suckered in just like you.

It changes nothing. The SPLC jumped the shark decades ago.

A when it decided to become a Progressive (read Fascist) lap dog, it lost just about all relevance.

Call any organization that disagrees with you a 'hate group.' And use an organization that has sacrificed its credibility as proof.

It may have worked at one time, but those days are long past.

Nice try, though.

Proggies can't simply shout down the opposition any longer. :-P

no, it's more like the righties have decided that racism, sexism, homophobia, xenophobia, and the like are all acceptable and commonplace, and nothing to be ashamed of.

you've got limbaugh out there calling women sluts, santorum saying he doesn't want to help blahhhhh people, the senate GOP holding back DREAM act legislation that they cooked up, and we've got huckabee and the palin's proudly defending a company that cloaks their bigotry in "religious values".

hell, even you're jumping to the defense of the religious bigots unashamedly. that's saying something.

All of those 'isms' and 'phobias' have no power anymore because they have been overused as a means of intimidating and silencing the opposition.

Just because someone disagrees is not proof they are any of those things.

The Left has overplayed their hand.

You mention Limbaugh, but fail to mention Bill Maher.

It is really funny how Proggie clowns can hear every questionable thing Conservatives say, but are completely deaf to the garbage coming from their side.

And instead of letting Congress decide on the DREAM Act, the President makes an end run around the Constitution. But, that's okay because he's a Democrat.

Yeah, it says something all right. I value the First Amendment. I value freedom. I value liberty.

And not just when it conforms to my ideology.

I disagree with the aims of some the beneficiaries receiving grants from the foundation. Organizations demonized by the Puff Ho.

But I defend their rights. Just as I defend yours.

That's what tolerance is REALLY about, Buck.

so what i'm getting out of this is the right is now going to own its bigotry and racism proudly, you're deaf to the leading voice of your party but can't ignore what a fucking comedian says, and you have no way to explain away the fact that the right is now shouting down the very bills they cooked up.

cool.

yeah, someone grabbed my little black cock. it was soooooo hot, too. must have been 97 degrees that day.

the chicken who hatched them got upset and stopped playing mama to the two pullets that night, and went back into the coop that she normally goes to. the two little pullets ran around the yard calling for her until my wife brought them up to their own coop. they've since worked it all out.
well im glad your black cock is sitting in someone elses coop now, i heard that if you spook chickens they dont lay eggs for like a week or something, my mom told me that when she had a a pretty nice sized coop way back when.. only one cock though, but i think she might of said that to make us all stop riding our dirtbikes and shit through the yard

I've never tried Chick-Fil-A. There is only 1 around that I'm aware of. And it's at the mall. So basically what I'm saying is that I've been boycotting or not boycotting Chick-Fil-A ever since it was cool or not cool to boycott Chick-Fil-A. The rest of you are posers. Or not posers.

That is hilarious!

I don't care one way or another...
I am not gay so I don't feel the fervor I guess...
I don't see why gays can't get married, but fighting with Chick Fil A just seems strange to me. If they refused to hire or serve homosexuals that would be wrong...but to simply state that you aren't for something, or you believe it to be wrong shouldn't create this much press...I mean if tomorrow Taco Bell came out and said they didn't like white people I wouldn't be upset enough to go protest...I would just not give them my green money...I mean, alright...And did they donate a whole lot of money, or was it a couple thousand dollars to all manner of Christian lifestyle type charities? To tell you the truth the whole we are closed on Sundays due to our Christian values, was strange enough for me...but whatever...
but when a lifestyle goes against most forms of organized religion there are bound to be a lot of clashes...Just seems like an odd battle scene in a comedy movie...swarms of homosexuals fighting with a chicken chain gone mad...Lol...

I guess you have to start somewhere... It is literally going to become a weirdo religious war, that all started in a Chick-Fil-A...

You guys gave me some answers to my questions...I guess I hadn't really sat down and thought about it...but I am still not sure that the gays fighting Chick-Fil-A is a whole lot different than Chick-Fil-A saying what they said against the gays in the first place,..They are 2 opposite sides arguing on the same coin...
Then again perhaps the first step in the anti-church war is attacking a large business based on Christian values...Maybe this is a good place to start the protesting...I don't know...but it still seems odd to me that a chicken chain be such a big deal in the Gay Rights Movement. Then again...the earlier civil rights movements were given fuel by a small act at some strange place where unjustice was occurring...perhaps this is the right place for it all to start...Either way, I hope the gays get it...

protestors: we want equality for all, and disagree with you sending money to anti-gay hate groups.

chick-kill-gay: we don't want you to have equality, so we'll keep sending money to hate groups that compare you to pedophiles and the mentally ill. it's our "christian values". now come have a bite of this inhumanely raised, abused chicken!

Bottom line is the chick fil a guy shouldn't be saying things publicly that he knows os going to piss off a lot of people....at least from the perspective of a guy running a business it just isn't smart. He does have the right to state his opinions as an individual, free speech and all. But then free speech comes back and bites his business in the ass.

I could say I prefer the work ethic of American workers better than Mexicans. But if I was saying that as the CEO of a chain of Mexican restaurants, I'm sure Mexicans would boycott the business and it would suffer.

Guy should have kept his mouth shut, or at the very Least have been more diplomatic about the way he said it
