Do these just have the activated carbon filter wrapped around the outside? This looks suspiciously like a DIY carbon filter!

I'm not sure, but you are right. I found the link and decided to share it, haven't thoroughly checked it out yet. But, all the good (comparable) DIY's I have seen cost 40-50 bucks to DIY. So, I thought it a good price pre assembled. They probably set up shop and purchased materials in bulk for a huge discount. A few assemblers working for an hourly wage could easily make this a profitable hustle. If I don't find a better deal...it's on. :blsmoke: :peace:

I purchased two of these filters and have had great results with each one. My first was a 4" and I just upgraded to a 6". Good service and fast shipping.

Loco so you havent had any issues with them? I like these a lot. Im all about compact shit. I dont like the big clumsy shit that you have to use rock climbing rope to mount. lol.:peace:

No problems so far. I am 4 weeks into flower and you cannot smell my girls until you open my cabinet. I have used the 4" for one grow and the charcoal still works. The 6" I just got a couple of weeks ago. Since I have used them for a relatively short period I cannot tell you how long the charcoal lasts, but they are refillable.

Most charcoal filters should last between 12-18months.. Then they need to be refilled or just buy another..
