Yes, for civil discussion and logical and therefore productive debate, calling you or your mother a cock-sucking, asshole licking, fist-taking whore is not the path to go down. My job here is to keep logical debate moving. If i had MY way, in the Politics forum, we would ALL abide by the formal rules of debate and actually get some discussion accomplished.
i'm not one that censors ideas or thought-out stances but i do call BS and childishness when i see it.
As for the "Just doing my job..." thing and your illogical jump to that being a defense for someone in court,

We've all seen the personal insults flying around and I personally believe that deleting posts is censorship. We're all adults here, the only deletions should be regarding sensitive personal information posted maliciously about another members. That's just wrong.
Rules should be enforced equally with no discrimination to all posts and if that cannot be done then just delete the rule, I say!

When people get insulted personally and quite often un-called for, they do one of a few things. They 1) Fire right back and show their lack of maturity, 2) turn the shot/ deflect the shot ( as a lawyer would do), think it through and assemble a logical response quite often pointing out the fallacy in their opponents strategy/argument), 4) run and cry to big brother, or admin as it may be, 5)totally shut down their conversation (the WORST of ALL possible outcomes in the Politics forum imo) as my son does, OR, DO something to forward POSITIVE communication.
We ARE all adults here, by the rules we signed, and we should conduct ourselves as such. i can curse like a sailor and insult with the best of them. Being an adult, i DON'T except in EXTREME situations. Not a debate in a Politics forum. Ask UB. He hit me where it hurt one time. Instead of putting it on the forum, i PM'ed him. We worked it out. We DON'T agree as to Politics, but we DO agree as to debate and the limits thereof (for the most part imo). He has a TOTALLY different approach than i do. If you serve it to him, he multiplies it and serves it back. i do that too but i reserve it for impact.
In the end, (high as hell), we could have a MUCH better Politics forum if a few members would just step up imo.
Hitting the sack. Bachin' it tonight, i'm high, half-drunk, it's 2am, and i gotta work tomorrow.
