Nutes for Seedlings?

When can i start giving nutes to seedlings? i was thinking i can make tea containing just earthworm castings, molasses and liquid karma. is this too much? i plan on using sunshine mix 4. thanks. also, is a T5 too intense for seedlings?

t5 are ok. i wait a few weeks at least before giveing nutes.....dont wanna burn seedlings .....only water for em.

Yeah, think of them like a baby - you don't want to start cramming burgers down their throats when they're 2 weeks old etc.

And when you do start introducing nutes, do it gradually, start diluted. When in doubt - gently does it.

you would kill them much more efficiently if you just stopped watering them.



liquid karma is just another snake oil potion, and plants dont use molasses for anything but the trace minerals. seedlings and baby plants dont need shit but water light and warmth. get a good quality soil, and a good quality broad spectrum fertilizer which should say "With Trace Minerals" or "Micronutrients" your plant should be at least a month old before you even bring fertilizers near them, and when you do use fertilizers, use 1/4 the recommended dose and slowly carefully and precisely ease it up to higher dosages over time.

a t5 is (4 ft?) fluorescent or something. I have used fish emulsion nitrogen with pretty small seedlings but I wait until they have a couple true leaves first, not when they are just a sprout. but once they grow a little a 1/4 dose seems to work fine like a teaspoon with a gallon of water. tiger bloom works on smaller plants too. the soil probably has everything already but fertilize if you want. if the plant dies though then no , you should just use water

yes, the same applies to all plants, from turnips to oak trees.

I always give a 1/4 strenght shot of nutes and a shot of rapid start as soon as the 2nd set of true leaves show never ever have had problems with the plants never burn nothing, but i also use rockwool, good luck!

basically same for autos
use the same advice given to you for reg plants
start at 1/4 strenth at around wk 3 autos finish at 8 to 10 weeks
but when you work your way up max out at 1/2 strenth not full strenth for autos
they hate full strenth nutes

and a smigen of root stimulator

but never food befor at least week 3 minimum
