Time To Get Rid of Concealed Carry Bans?

7) Self defense
firing a deadly projectile seems to me like an example of going on the offensive.

if my object were simple self defense, i would cloak myself in kevlar and arrange an elaborate series of alarms around my residence.

let's be honest with the language we use.

and for the record, i agree with #4 based primarily upon the cavalier attitudes of our resident gun nuts.

The Right to Bear Arms is the only one we got left other than the warped and misinterpreted Freedom from Religion so let's keep it?

I don't understand why they need to be concealed to do any good? I carried one in GA where I just had to make sure it was on the seat of my car and to try not to bring it into bars and felt just as safe if not safer than if I'd hidden it.

Fun Fact #1

*I was also taught by GBI and I do believe this is Only a GA Bureau rule not Federal: you may shoot anyone with a knife within 10'- it's nice to know I think for anyone needing to kill someone in GA? They had videos on how dangerous a perp within 10' with a knife is and everything!

Fun Fact #2

*The reason I had a gun and got gun safety training from GA Bureau of Investigation was really simple. You see I worked at an FBO(gas station for rich folks' jets) during 911 and my boss, a famous good ol boy is enough said, read in an Aviation rag that he had insufficient security so he did what any simple good ol boy would do; release a press statement that he was randomly arming the staff. True story you can't make this shit up.

when they disregard the alarms and your pleading to "stop, go away, please!" and wail on you with a legally purchased bat for the ninety seconds it takes (often longer) for your policeman to arrive you will see thats a pretty shitty home defense plan.

This is a pointless argument, the more liberal a state gets with firearms the faster the crime drops. Its the reason nothing has happened or will happen with gun control. We're as a country at record low numbers for violent crimes, seems to me Concealed Weapons Licenses working as intended. People forget that the second amendment is part of a check and balances system.

The second amendment is no longer upheld, they have already gotten rid of the second amendment, most people just do not care or realize it. They have convinced most people that guns are bad and most people think we are a Democracy so it is only a matter of time before they go further with gun restrictions- The second amendment says your right shall not be infringed- but there are many infringements on peoples rights to buy, own and carry guns- therefore the second amendment is already gone, it didn't say the right to bare arms if they fall into these categories and meet these requirements and do these things and only in certain places under certain cercumstances and only approved guns-....It said shall not be infringed

I admit to not really paying attention until he told a story about working at a bio-med disposal company and bringing hands home now and then to freak out his roommate. This just can't happen if it did, that was somebody's family member's remains he was fucking with. So either he was a liar or a disrespectful necro mutilator. I was not impressed with my choices.
One I worked at a medical lab
Two the hand came from histology tge guy isn't dead and it got cremated
Three if you are paying that much attention
Your either obsessed with me or a narc

Cops in Cali are taught that 20' is the outer edge of the "circle of death" when confronting someone armed with a knife.

Can you explain why the lab had the entire hand and not just a tissue sample? You should quit digging and let it go. You've been exposed. Tell Granny we said hi.

A local news caster was quoted saying "He would not have got but one shot off in Texas" Still crazy to think we have to arm ourslefs to go to the movies or dinner or the mall. Sucks.

What is the mentality?
How do they feel about violating the constitution in general?
And specifically enforcing gun rules and regulations that are unconstitutional? Like requirements to have FID card or register a gun or concealed carry laws or felon with fire arm laws or restrictions on prohibited firearms?
Do you think police and military are willing to preform mass round ups and executions of citizens when they are ordered to do so? When that is the only way to keep their job?

The mentality comes from the fact that 90% of the time, if someone is standing within 20' of you with a knife and you haven't drawn your weapon, they can charge and stab you before you get a shot off.

As for the answers to the other questions, they seem pretty fine with it to me and yes, i think they will perform roundups.

Thanks for being honest,
This ones going to make the Nazi holocaust look mild in comparison, I pray Ron Paul wins and has an opportunity to change our course but I fear he won't and probably couldn't even if he wanted to, I fear it's to late regardless we're to far along to stop it and the people are to oblivious to do anything
I wish I had lived a hundred years ago.

Agreed! I would also point out that our 4th Amendment rights are a thing of the past not that anyone gives a flying fuck so who cares if they can be concealed? Has anyone here walked into a corner store to the entire place filled with customers with guns on their hips? It's a deterrent IMO that might just save having to use one that would be concealed.

On a large scale, i like open carry for the reason you stated. Personally, i prefer concealed carry for the tactical element of surprise.

The mentality is a get out of jail free card if you get a chance to plant a kitchen knife on an intruder or someone you felt like offing.

Hell yes! They already sleep like babies after using pepper spray and rubber bullets on peaceful protesters not guilty of anything more than trespassing.

We were trained to use a Remington .38 with only 5 bullets because we were so dang cooler and smarter than those "sand n" that we'd surprise them and take em out cold with just one bullet each as they stormed the FBO.
