have some old protien containers here, about 8 of them, there about 3 litre to 35 litre so going to use these somehow....

now there about 4 inch neck on them and there about 6 inchs tall... was thining they might be ideal as the pots for the next part of the grow maybe!!!

going to try the method where you cut the top off a drink bottle and flip it upside down fill with perlite and let the roots grow through it into the res at the bottom then into the final 10litre hempys.....?

would it work?

roots wise would they survive in unareated nute solution for the week it should take...? would root survive the transplant to soil afterwards? thin i might just hold off on the experiment until after a harvest ... but the root growth would take a week off the veg if i`m right...;)

i ordered a 400w hps online to grow my tomatoes recently and it has been sent to customs. What are the chances of the alerting the gardai.

and its us poor saps that pay the price in the long run, any ould shite will be pulled out now, prob send us back to the hands of the lads that spray the shit out of there weed, sorry for the rant but the coppers really push my buttoins when they target the smoke like that, like its not easier to score a bag of smack than eight of smoke already..

yeah heard it on the news dave, but either way street price in certain places will go up as there will be a drought on if you see where i`m comeing from...

it`ll be an 80mile round trip for me to get a 50 bag this day week as some of what was got was for round here... says alot for growing yourown tho doesn`t it...;)

right so little update, sorry no pics but the phone i use to take them (they upload alot quicker from the phone than camera)has been borrowed, i`ll get some asap tho lads, i know how you lot like your pics....;)

but got the seed trays out raised the hood a little and re-potted into the 3litre tubs, but to be honest from the look of them they look more 2 litre but how and ever, cut the top off them to help when there being removed for final pots, and inserted a small hole about an inch from the bottom for overflow and a hempy type "res".

now i plan on leaveing them in these tubs for at least two weeks to build up my roots, the week odd olds have a good amount as is and i`m happy with and the freshly popped ones are tailing out fine...

so thats two 10 day olds and six fresh seedlings to choose a mother from, and another thats outside for some experimenting on....

going too throw in a flower bulb or two to even up the light tomorrow, then two weeks flipping them to find me a mammy...;)

wouldn`t sweat it until you get a letter from them...

so what you planing on growing, strains etc... anything vegging now while you were waiting for your flower light?

Have four bb blue chese in veg now five weeks under 375 blue spc cfl. Topped 3 of them and left one untopped to see how it turns out as its my first grow.
The ready for flower. Jus waitin on d hps now. Have you ever heard of customs alerting the gardai when they stop grow lights

no not unless there was something "organic" in the parcel, like the sneaky bit of weed or something, maybe there was seeds as a freebie or some shit, i know you can buy seeds legal and lights too but the two together could raise flags ...

Ye man.I'm irish ha. No it was jus a 400w hps mh kit. thats all. Maybe i'm jus been too paranoid now ha. What you tink of ionic nutes.

yeah the para with this hobbie is something terrible..

like a chopper flys over when your flowering and you could convince your self the cops are comeing to get you....hahahahahahahaha....

well its good to have another irish grower here, sounds like a sweet little setup being an mh and hps kit..hood ballast etc come with it? how much you pay?

sounds reasonable, nirvana have a it for 600w at 160yoyos..

i got some seedlings going under a couple of cfls until i get the room sorted and a decent mother for scrog clones...
