Dang Abe, that's right around the corner.
I catcha fuckin tweeker in my basement, I am gonna try to sentence him a little longer than that.

So how does that score read? He got 4 years three months for stealing a few plants. What did the guy get in Engadine for trying to grow 450 plants?
I am reading it as home invasion and even though I hate anyone going to jail when it is weed connected that home invasion if flat out a bad thing. Takes a real dangerous person to pull that shit.

there can never be a reason for braking into sombody house

this often kills old people or affect's there last years of life or someone could clime in a young child bed room and give that kid nightmares for years

and these people often get away with it a lot of times before getting court

so life or cut there hands off sounds good

You are right, this scumbag was taking plants this time..what about last month? or next year? when he startles an old woman and chokes her out with a cord or beats her with a hammer...I did not read the article but I am assuming this clown is a junkie..desperate people do desperate things...I would have sentenced him to 10 years...parole his dumb ass when he is 29 and give hi one last chance to tun his life around.

Now since it is a 30 max, is that how long he'll be on parole? I know if he violates, they could max him out, but can parole officers let you off paper early like probation officers can?
He would be on parole for four or five tears; I don't know exactly but around there usually.
They tell you when they grant you parole how long they want to supervise you.

When I was much younger I did 2 years and that was my minimum with no good time;
so I avoided parole as that was considered 'maxing out' back in the 70's.
If I remember right I could have done 21 months and got 4 years parole or do the 24 and be done.

We recently had a little issue with 4 teenagers. They were caught. the parent got offensive, not really the proper choice IMHO. It was a legal compassionate grow. With genitics lost the damage can never truly be replaced. But 4 little sumbitches are Workin like slaves now. Fuck the police.

Old school incentive program ;)

I think it doesn't actually. Most of them are young and dumb and feeling invincible, and really believe they can sneak into a house without waking up the homeowner (usually they don't think the homeowner is even there, or they wouldn't try). They generally freak out and run if they realize you're there. I've been the subject of a devastating burglary, and I have friends who've suffered home invasions. Every time they ran into the creeps they panicked and fled. I think in general they're cowards, and more afraid than you are.

You are right, this scumbag was taking plants this time..what about last month? or next year? when he startles an old woman and chokes her out with a cord or beats her with a hammer...
This is the same argument as found in the "gateway theory," namely that one minor crime naturally leads to a major one, and therefore should be punished more severely than it would otherwise be.

Don't punish people for what they haven't done yet...

In my house I AM in charge. You break in my house and threaten the safety of my family you wont be around to wish you hadn't of fucked up this time..
I strongly believe you have the right to do whatever necessary to defend yourself. I do not believe you have the right to inflict punitive harm (torturing or killing execution style).

It could be your son, your nephew, your brother - people do stupid shit sometimes. They feel alienated, isolated, frustrated, trapped - and lash out at the world. We have to remember they are still people, ones who could have bright futures and loving families, if we can find a way for them to overcome their internal conflicts. With some this may be very difficult, but humiliation will only cause them to become extremely defensive and keep them from ever opening up. I have personally seen many people who did some very nasty things change - one who was in the Hells Angels and was not exactly a nice guy... and now he watches birds. My father had extremely bad anger problems when I was growing up, and now he's one of the most level headed guys I know, and he's even a counselor now. 97% of people will change (3% are sociopaths who feel nothing for anyone and are unreformable)... let's help them do it and not get caught up in a quest for vengeance that hurts everyone involved.

I agree people do dumb shit sometimes..and that is why you pay the consequences when you are popped..some meth head that has not slept in 23 days is not thinking "someone may be home" they are just wired and not thinking period...maybe if the cops would deal with the meth problem and leave weed alone these home invasions would happen less.

Purk, I would never torture or execute someone, unless they caused harm to my children or wife. I agree people can change, but I also believe that if someone breaks into your home you better be ready and willing to lay em down.. Ever watch the news? This isn't the days of Mayberry anymore. People do some fucked up shit these days and I won't take a chance on my family being the victims.

Spike Lee Pays Wesley Snipes A Visit In Prison; Conversation Includes Collaborating On A Project

BLOGS BY TAMBAY A. OBENSON | MARCH 7, 2012

I missed these Spike Lee tweets yesterday... better late than never. Read on...

Yesterday I Went To McKean Federal Correctional Institute in West Hell,Pennsylvania To Spend 2 Great Hours With My Man Wesley Snipes CONT

Mr.Snipes Is In Great Shape,Mentally,Physically& Spiritually. We Laughed& Joked For The Whole 2 Hour Visit. He Said When He Gets Out-It's On.

I don't think I need to translate any of that.*

Of course there were lots of replies from his followers; of note, one person asked whether he and Wesley would collab on a project. And Spike replied with, "We talked about it." And of course, speculation began... what could this collab they talked about be, hmmm?

Heck if I know. For all we know, the conversation could've gone something like this:

Wesley: When I get out Spike, you and I gotta do something together mayne.

Spike: No doubt... no doubt.

The End.

Or maybe it was something more specific. We'll never know.

The pair have worked together before, and were scheduled to work together again at one point. So of course the likelihood of them working together again shouldn't be a surprise.

Another follower asked Spike whether Wesley is in Jungle Fever-shape or Blade-shape. Spike replied saying that he's in Blade-shape.

And then more speculation continued... hmmm... was that some kind of a hint? Might Spike and Wesley be planning some kind of action/crime/thriller project for when Wesley gets out?

Heck if I know.

What I do know is that Wesley just finished 1 year of a 3 year sentence. Unless he's let out early, he's got just about 2 years to go before he's a free man again. And I'm looking forward to seeing brothaman on the big screen again; let's hope in some really good projects.

Again - I agree with you. Where I argue for different treatment is after they've been subdued and captured. But you have every right to do whatever possible to keep you and your family safe. I've always been a strong supporter of gun rights.

Trying to subdue and capture some cracked out motherfucker in the middle of the night is a good way to become a victim.. that's all I'm saying.

I had a break in about 2 years ago, almost shot the kid. I recognized him at the last second as he was standing at the bottom of my stairs pointing something up at me. He's the luckiest guy I know because he was a split second from being a stain on my floor. I'm glad I recognized him, I worked with the kid for 3 years but he'd never been a friend or in my house. He was wasted and didn't know where he was, smashed a window on the door to get in.... My daughter had been sleeping on the couch when he came in and he scared the shit out of her.

It took months before my wife and kids were able to sleep decent, every little noise at night would wake them up in a panic. It's not something people should have to endure. Your house is your castle and you should feel safe in your home.

what are the odds that you'd recognize a near random stranger (now i'm thinkin' yer in a small town...) Wasted window breaker must still have been after some valuables and not just a night nap, like Robert -wasted- Downey pulled years back on random strangers in Los Angeles. He was sleeping in their daughters BR. amazingly he didn't get shot either. maybe they recognized him..I certainly would want to go-all-out or all-in, whatever you call it when someone has the audacity to bust into your life. If they could easily be subdued, which is difficult to imagine all the possibilities, then sure go for it. If you and yours cant quickly escape, then you'd just, at best, End Up "Lucky" if events didn't result with a justifiable homicide on your hands. not all B n E creeps are cowards, many are versed in dog eat dog. It's reasonable assume that whomever chooses to commit b+e robbery is craZy Az fk.

What did Snipes do with all his money?.. I don't think he is a good actor..liked him as nino brown though...but he has been in dozens of films, he has had to earn at least 60 million...what did h do with all his cash?..and why didn't he just borrow a couple million from a rich friend to pay the IRS to avoid prison?

New Jack City hellz yes... Breaking Bad, that's some adventure television, kinda reminds me of a few ive met.

Not too sure about all the details w Westley, yea he's done some bad movies but i'd never rule him out altogether. Did he deserve 3 years for his tax issues? more than someone who does break-ins? In that Money Train, I noticed that Robert Blake had a cameo part. Now that's likely a guy that literally got away with murder. He didn't get charged with the murder of his wife, but I bet he paid great lawyers and his taxes. And is white.

I know Nicholas Cage was in same situation..owed the irs a fortune and pissed away his money.johnny depp paid his debt to the feds and got him in a ton of work in shitty movies that pay well...Why not hit spike up for 2-3 million?..spike has fat pockets and snipes could work off the debt in in a few films.

It must have been a chain of bad decisions and rotten counsel. He was a good poster-boy (yeah i think racism played a part) for the IRS to intimidate rich citizens to keep ponying-up large cash on the regular, OR be like Westley! That final judge must have been an insider pulling the perception strings. This was a case where being a star backfired. Also IMO some of wht america doesn't like his arrogance.
