can you keep an autoflower alive and continually budding all year round?

I'm new to auto strains but am currently growing an outdoor onyx...i had 10 feminized seeds of Onyx. I planted 5 outdoor but only one turned out to be female. The outdoor is doing good but I started it way too late, its way to small for the middle of july. Due to space, there is not a single place in my house where I could conceal a grow light, tent, fan etc. but a few small T5s/CFLs might work in the corner room. If only I had more time...

I have seen people veg non-auto bonzai mothers for years that have had an ample supply of clones. I have also heard that many have successfully had multiple harvests with autos. Can I have the best of both worlds?-

Can I bring my outdoor onyx into to my room at the end of the summer and keep it alive and budding under a CFL? I'm not looking for huge yields, just enough bud to smoke off of for when I need it.

If so, how do I harvest my buds without killing the auto? Can I just trim the buds off while keeping the branches intact or do I really need to cut the branches off with the buds attached? Or is there a way to prune the autoflower so that the branches grow back. Like I said, I am an experienced grower but I have no experience with keeping a plant alive after harvesting.

Then why are there so many grow journals of people who plant in feb and then have a first harvest around may, and then have a second or third harvest at the end of July and sept? Do they just fall flat on their face at this point?

cindysid is totally right.

The people you see doing multiple harvests probably just have multiple plants of different ages all in the same grow room because the light cycle doesn't have to change and you can have babies in there alongside flowering plants. That way you can have plants ready to harvest all year round.

I am one of those people that does two harvests, but with photo plants, not autos. With regular photo sensitive plants you can control the plants growth with the hours of light to which it is exposed, so after flowering you can increase the light hours and it will reveg.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jj30q5jVEFs this a vid with a guy who 'regenerated' an afghan kush ryder.

basically its just the lower buds are left on the plant and the top ones harvested first. The lower buds are then left to flower for another 3 weeks or so. He says in the comments underneath "Try it, Afghan Kush Ryder was an autoflower and it was regenerated.
Honestly, just start a new grow, its not worth the time.
This was an experiment to see if it could be done"

nah you wont ever get any more vegetative growth off an auto, but lower buds can be left on to keep growing for another 1-3 weeks or whatever. But as 'Godbodystyle' says on youtube, its not worth the electric or the effort for what youll get.

LOL nah man, it says 'the autoflower plant will produce seeds which might get through winter and then sprout in spring'. This is definately NOT a perennial plant. The statement in this companies description completely contradicts itself. ALL autoflower strains can produce seeds which 'MAY' get through the winter and sprout in spring. I cant beleive this company, the doggies nuts, ive heard so many people warning to STAY WELL AWAY FROM THEM AND THEIR BULLSHIT PRICES AND PROMISES. Absolute joke.

" As believe it or not this is deciduous herbaceous perennial strain. For those of you that are not that horticulturally aware this means it has the ability to re-emerge after it has died."

This is why I dont like attitude, they promote con artists like this. They have seeds on there for over $400. Fuck

It says in the description that it the plant and seeds can possibly make it through the winter. I've been growing two for 8 and a half months. One died half way through the second budding cycle. But the big one has budded for me going on the fourth time. Down herein the south our winters are generally mild. The plant is a perennial. Don't know of you've grown it before and had bad results. Yes the price is ridiculous even with the bud being subpar. Gunna see how long this one lasts till it dies at least hopefully it'll make it to 2013. That'd be sweet. Green butter year round.

yes they can be cloned but the yeild will be really low as they flower straight away, and as you know the clone takes time to gain vigour. I saw a guy do it on youtube for an experiment :)
