LED Companies w/ LINKS

I'm fairly new to LED's and I'm going to be doing some more research tonight. Currently have an LED grow going with five Glowpanel 45's as well as an entry in the 12/12 competition using three of the same.

I was considering going HPS but after seeing the results of just these cheap panels I have really been won over by LED's.

Basically what I am looking for is a quality LED system for flowering or a start to finish grow. My budget is flexible but I'm looking to spend roughly around 600 maximum.

That being said, if there is something in the 2-300 dollar range that will produce good results I would most likely go for that.

I figured I may as well ask those who use it and know LED's best what they think I should go with.

Thanks in advance guys.

^^^ Lumi's probably dumping stock. I wonder how low the 165s will end up going for in a little while?

LumiGrow Launches Most Powerful LED Horticultural Lights and Industry’s First Light Management Software

Growers Gain Unprecedented Power, Control and Cost Savings with the LumiGrow Pro™ Series

Novato, CA, July 10, 2012 – LumiGrow, Inc., the market and technology leader in smart horticultural lighting, today announced the release of the LumiGrow Pro series. The series launches with the industry’s two most powerful LED greenhouse lights, the LumiGrow Pro 325™ and the LumiGrow Pro 650™, both of which are compatible with LumiGrow SmartPAR™, the Company’s new greenhouse light management software.
With the LumiGrow Pro series, LumiGrow equips growers with LED lighting systems that output more red and blue in the essential photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) range than the industry’s most powerful conventional lighting systems, including any high-intensity discharge (HID) fixture in the marketplace. Peerless in the horticultural industry, Pro 325 and Pro 650 lights double and quadruple, respectively, the brightness and efficiency of the LumiGrow ES330™ system, previously the industry’s most powerful LED light.

When powered by LumiGrow SmartPAR software, LumiGrow Pro series lights enable growers to automatically customize light output based on factors including region, climate, crop type and desired crop characteristics. These functions can be performed manually when LumiGrow Pro series lights are implemented without LumiGrow SmartPAR software. By tuning light levels and spectra in accordance with plant needs, growers boost crop yield and uniformity while they gain electrical cost savings of up to 70 percent compared to conventional lighting.

^^ yeah got the same email.....regardless the 165es is still a great panel, obviously being discontinued...you think it will go under five hundred?....I just don't have $1500 to drop on a pro series panel....that's the starting price:-(

When I win the lottery, Lumi is getting a call ;).

And yeah they will go lower. Imagine what Lumi pays when they buy LEDs? My only problem with the 165 for some plants is you still need to add some far red spots from what I've seen. That's probably the main reason they started selling red spots. So ultimately a 165 at 550 is still going to cost you a bit more. At least in my humble opinion brother PSU.

Wow I thought Hans' panels were expensive but here, $250 for 23 watts that's almost unbelievable. There is no info on light output/spectrum neither but I assume they use quality components for that price.

I like that they separated each light into small units though, it gives much freedom to make the optimal grow room. Anyway, they look good but damn... What kind of pricing is that!!

On a side note, this video seems to be an advertisement, the user who posted it has no other activity on youtube... It might very well be posted by the company itseft with no warranties whatsoever that the plants were grown under those lights. Did you find any other info on these lights ?

Anyway, they have a nice website and the facts stated in the FAQ seem reasonable.

Just whats on the site, thats all I know about them. I did find another youtube video of someone using one light over some monster basil plants...but can't find much else. Price is steep but if the penetration and coverage is there they wouldn't be that expensive if they can produce good results. I'm always interested in getting the most off as little watts as possible.

Yep getting the most off as little watts as possible is the initial purpose of LEDs, I'm with you on that!
Well, I gotta admit I'm not sold on the full spectrum / white light yet, but these lights are very promising that's for sure. If you decide to go with a couple of these, I think we'd all be very interested to see how well they perform.

Well I wont qualify for the 10% discount they're offering right now. But when I bought my ES330 I paid around 1199 when the MSRP was 1499, so that might be a good idea of how much less I can expect to pay when the time comes. And yeah, I'm getting a 4 x 4 tent, I think I need it for even the 330, things are just way too cramped in a 2'7" square grow space.

so you're expecting the proseries 650 to be less than two grand??......well I want picks from whoever buys one:-P

The MSRP on the 650 is 1899, which is right around all the other high end LED's, like a black dog platinum, or a solar storm. When the ES330 was released it was the most expensive thing out there, so lumigrows prices are getting more competitive. They have some other cool products too, like the strip light and the red and far red spots

I just got an email saying with my lumigrow loyalty discount I can get a pro 650 for $1215. Thats a real good deal if I could scrape up enough cash to take advantage of it
