Racist organizations in the USA

wow, you took that bait easy.
As the Associated Press reported, leadership positions that were once held only by blacks are now being filled by members of other racial or ethnic groups. This month, the Worcester chapter elected a 28-year-old openly gay black man as its president; in Mississippi, the Jackson State University chapter elected a 30-something white man, while a Honduran immigrant was elected to lead the New Jersey branch last year. The organization does not keep track of their numbers, but in recent years, chapters in New Jersey, Connecticut and Georgia have elected Hispanics as president.
While some may believe that the NAACP is recreating their image in the 21st century by recruiting whites, gays and immigrants, experts such as Maya Wiley, founder and executive director of the non-profit, The Center for Social Inclusion, say that working alongside people of other races, beliefs and nationalities has long been a part of the organization’s mission.
“The NAACP was founded by leaders who were white and black because they were appalled by the violence against fellow black Americans,” said Wiley. “The NAACP’s history has always included people of other races committed to equality for black Americans.”

as soon as whites in the USA are a persecuted minority, i will be fully on board with a white NAACP.

until then, all the whining indicates a complete lack of historical perspective.

It's good to see that progress is being made :)

I absolutely will not date any fat chicks...and I also think that Oscar Pistorius a double-amputee who is now is going to race in the Olympics in London with artificial legs, should not be allowed to do so..ok glad I got that out

Sounds like he's black to me.
Sounds pretty white to me

The nature of the crime hasn't helped. Reilly, then 20, was convicted a year after beating and stabbing to death Emerson College professor Charles Russell in September 1992.
A source told the Boston Globe in 1993 that Reilly "flipped out" after being invited into the 58-year-old professor's home to smoke pot and engage in oral sex.

Wrong ChesusRice,,,,of those groups you are talking about are most racist,,,,because they use the race card to get what they want and not what they earn ,,,As Rev. Jackson has said a number of times,,, reverse Racism.,,,,The Racist card has always been thrown out on the table for something wanted and not earned,,,

How are equal rights not earned?
How is protection from discrimination not earned?

It is not racist to help out those who are just like you get ahead

It is racist to deny those that are not like you get ahead

I think that pretty much boils it down to a easily understood talking point
So, when a white applicant is told no because of "quotas", is that racism?

as long as people keep seeing it like this racism will never go away. you can't really use the actions of past generation to justify the actions of people alive today.

my daddy didn't like you daddy so i don't like you. you see how this ends? or rather dosen't.

sooner or later we are going to just have to start looking at each other as people, in this together. not as opposing factions where one must suffer for the other to be happy.

i'm not going to help blacks/whites/hispanics, because i'm black/white/hispanic....... but maybe we should consider attempting to help people with out defining weather they are "our personal" race or not.

food for thought, i know we don;t normally see eye to eye on things but i really think all races are going to have to drop it before this will ever end.

i'm saying they are illegal, so that if they have the consequence you worry about, legal recourse is a possibility.
Yup, good luck winning that case. There may not be hard quotas but there is, in my experience, reverse discrimination.
