Sounds like a good idea to me. I've heard people doing it before flower. My plants are dark 18-24 hours before I put them in the flower room. Good call Stone.

i wonder if switching with 4 days left is gonna help at all big means more in most cases but not always better u know well it was worth a shot to save money buy if it dont produce than who cares that its cheaper rrather pay for good nutes and b confident in what u know n already have used

another thing i forgot to tell you guys is that i used the barricade/potasium silicate at full strength because its not measured out the same as other an additives its very concentrated. ive read before that too much potasium could delay flowering. a few days ago i just cut it out all together just incase. im also gonna call an customer service tomorrow and ask them if using b-52 in the first 2 weeks of flower delays the flowering process. i gotta get on my shit im not tryin to fuck this crop up.

will foliar spraying anything help? i got some colossal bud blast, nirvana, and scorpion juice

i wouln't recommend using any of those as a foliar spray. i'm not a big fan of foliar feeding. i can't imagine being able to foliar spray a plant to induce flowering. i use potassium silicate (rhino skin) all the way through flower as well. i use it at the same ratio as the other additives. i also don't think b-52 had anything to do with it.

gotcha thanks. i guess all i can do is wait

i would just be patient. Its probably your strain, some strains will stretch for 30 or so days before they start to set flowers. If i had to guess you have a strain that will take at least 70 days and more likely in the 90-100 day range. JMO. Go easy on the nutes with the apollo. I have an apollo 2 and ran the nutes and the watering cycles like they suggested. I wont do that again. Feed the plant like you would normally feed it, if it likes 800 ppms, then run the apollo at that. I would also change the timing of the water cycle to 30-45 seconds on and 2.5-3 mins off. I know of a few other guys runnin the apollo machines also and we are all tinkering with things a lil differently. Patience will go along way here. Your flowering time can still come out like you think it will. Things happen in the apollo really fast as im sure you are noticing. And when they start to put on flowers it happens pretty rapidly also. Wonka

I read somewhere also that bud ignitor needs to be used at full strength the last 2 weeks of veg and the first week of flower to get it to work properly. Ive heard bud blood does work better for initiating the flowering phase sooner. Havent tried it yet though. Wonka

whats up willy. its nice to find someone else thats used the same system im using. i trully believe that the reason why my plants werent flowering is because the nutes werent high enough. i said fuck it and slowly raised them and while i did this i finally saw the plants start to flower. i ended up at 1000 ppm and im just gonna leave it there for now. im thinking it might not have been a good idea to go past 800 but if i burn the plants a little than fuck it, i need these plants done by a certain time so i can pay bills and i need to make sure the flower process begins, if the plants get burned il just lower it to 800 and leave it. it also crossed my mind that scooby goes above 1000 ppm. because they werent flowering they got way too big like 4' plus and yesterday i had to chop the tops off some of the plants to make room cause theres no more vertical space. im feeling alot more confident now that the plants will flower correctly it just sucks cause i feel like i lost a couple weeks.

willy can you give some insight on how you run the system normally? strain, ppm, height of clones at the start etc. im lovin the system but the leaks are killin me. after this harvest i gotta take everything apart and use that plumbers tape with silicon gel on each screw etc. even doing this i dont like how the extensions get attached together. theres only that skinny plastic nut and its extremely hard to stop leaks

I hear ya on the leaks. You will get it lined out. It does take both teflon tape and silicon to get everything sealed up. As far as the strains go, the more sativa the less veg time in the clone machine. the more indica, the more veg time needed. I typically run every other site in the ez-cloner for 30 seconds on and 2 1/2 minutes off until they are 6-8" tall on a 70/30 sativa/indica--ex.--purple og and emperor city kush(jack x purple OG). For a 50/50 like cherry OG i veg them until they are closer to 12-16 inches. And for an 85/15 like the "pure purple Kush" i veg to the height i want it to flower at. It really depends on how much they stretch. Typically i will clone and then veg for another 2-3 weeks in the clone machine and then switch them into the machine on 12/12. I run the watering times at 30 seconds on and 2 1/2 minutes off in the apollo also. I like the root mass i get with this watering cylcel. I havent played around to much with cycle times since i switched to this timing. I wouldnt worry about burning them at 1000ppms. Its a quick easy flush if that happens. If you dont a meter like the hanna---which constantly monitors ppm, ph, and water temp-- you should get one. It will show you how fast your plants take up food. If your feeding at 1000ppms and your plants are that big, im guessing your sucking up 10-20 gallons within the first 3 days after you feed?? The meter will show you consistently how your plants are feeding. You may find you can feed a little lighter because you have to top up the resevoir every couple of days. I guess im saying you can feed less, but you will be feeding more often. If that makes sense.
Ive got a buddy who vegged his tutti frutti for 10 days and its only a foot tall. I put my purple Ogs in at 6" and they were 18-24". Another bro uses the chronic in his machine and he does all his vegging in the clone machine also. Hope this helps out some. Willy

how much ppm do you usually keep your plants at in the apollo? is there a certain ppm you never go above? the plants grow extremely fast and tall in this system im starting to realize that it would be better if i used clones that dont stretch too much cause my clone of blubonic gets way too tall and its mostly indica. the way the plants grow i dont even see how any strain would need veg time i flowered at around 1' and there 4' plus now and too crowded. its also not making it easier that im switching strains to connoisseur secret recipe soon i should probably start flowering clones at 6"

ive been trying to stay around 800 ppms with most of my strains. I hear ya---the plants grow faster than any system ive used in the past. Wonka
you sound like you know what your talkin about cause i saw some bad tip burn at 1000 ppm a couple days ago and i lowered it to 800 (ec x 500). that sounds like a good maximum not to go above thanks willy

I dont claim to know anymore than the next guy.lol I just try to help where i can. We can all learn something from one another. Usually 500-800ppms will cover just about any strain. Unless you start getting into some of the heavy feed kushes.

if you are using-- b-52 use 2ml, big [email protected], rhino skin@ 1ml, overdrive @6.5ml, nirvana @4ml, Bud factor@ X 8ml voodoo @8ml, sensizym@5ml. All these are per gallon of water. You can use piranha, tarantula, rootexcelurator, rapid start or orca if you want. But go easy on any of these products due to the massive amounts of root growth you will get. Also, watch out for your roots clogging the transfer tube between the tubs. I had a chamber nearly full of h2o that nearly flooded the room.lol Watch those long roots. This is why i changed my watering cycle times. Its relative to the kinds of roots you will get. If you have longer, stringy roots then i would water more frequently and less often---its why i went to 30 seconds on and 2.5 mins off. It comes from more of a fogponic watering time. I get more of the softball style of root ball that fills the holes in the net pots entirely and give my plants better support. Hope your having fun with the Apollo. I had a thread started along time ago on the machine but i cant find it now. It was in the aeroponics thread. We should start a new one. It wont be long and more growers will catch on to how well these machines work. They will force your calendar and you will become more productive providing you want to work that much. Willy - I already adore you.

Great thread here.

About any AN burn, I just use less than the bottles say if I think my plants are a little weak. And then when they start getting bigger, they can handle more.
