How would raising taxes affect you and our economy?

just looked for insurance. found a decent plan with $25 co pay and $10 deductible for $71 a month. some plans with more expensive office visits for $42 a month.

plans with $5k deductible and $10 office visits (for the first 4) for $139 a month.

that's not $400 a month, and that's for a tobacco user.

So if you had to use the insurance adding that 5k would run you about 555.60 a month.

that's changing the goal posts, kiddo. intellectual dishonesty at its finest. not unexpected coming from you.

if i'm that person making 4x poverty and wish to avoid the $700 tax penalty for not insuring myself, i could simply pick up a $42 a month plan.

Steve Moore, Wallstreet Journals Chief Economist says 75% of the cost of the new healthcare law will be on those making $125,000 or less. Remember this thing isn't indexed for inflation.

5 is crazy is this what were going to start seeing now a 19.95 a month insurance plan with a 40k deductible?
i'd go for that one in my position. the whole point of insurance for a young buck like myself is to protect the family's wealth.

i have family that i can call for triage advice on how to bandage my boo-boos.

Seriously, UB, a $5K deductible is like a sick joke. cn

that seems to make sense, since i would guess about 75% of health care is consumed by people making $125k or less.

are you saying you want the rich to take care of the poor instead? i mean, i wouldn't mind a progressive system like that, but it seems like a lot of the righties on this board would rather slit their wrists in a fit of galtism before subsidizing the less fortunate.

$42 a month doesn't even get much of anything.

UB, you usually use numbers that actually are somewhere near real. I'm afraid that you really are stretching it a bit.

Your preaching to me about dishonesty? We have change tactics from saying this is good for everyone to I can do pay this much so I don't get raped my unclesam. This bill is nothing but a big fuckyou from democrats and you don't want to choke-up and say it.

I'm pointing this out because you made sure everyone knew that it was only for those making over $200k or more. Or am I wrong and misunderstood what you posted?

$42 is real, even if the plan is shitty.

are you saying a single person making $50k a year can't afford $42 a month? is it better that they go uninsured and inevitably pass their costs onto the rest of us?

fixed it for ya.

name a nation that pays less for health care per capita, insures all their citizens, and does not have something in place like the individual mandate. take your time, use the google box.

i'm not sure what you're talking about, to be honest.
Obama said this wouldn't effect anyone under 200k, obviously he didn't read the bill. I dont think anyone cared until it got passed, and now they're were all figuring out how were going to get fucked.

I think its funny how a few democrats are saying "we need to rally behind this bill" and the rest are stepping away while no one is looking.

so people making under $200k weren't already footing the costs of the uninsured before? because those costs were already in the system before as they are now.

you should actually go find what obama actually said, as nothing that you say has much credibility to it. go get the obama quote and post it for all to see, kiddo.
