have u maybe over watered??? have u been using nutes or just plain water???? yellowing usually is a sign of low nitrogen levels but can be other causes.....have u just went into flowering?? more info...lol

Its MG fertilized soil so I have given no nutes. They look healthy and perky. The tops just look like a light neon green. I don't think over watering is an issue.

After seeing this better picture, would you guys assume that the MG nute soil is lacking in nitrogen and I should maybe look into supplementing it?

I have not yet gone into flowering but I did take it from my CFL's and have been veggin the last few days under a 1000w hps before I go into flower probably tomorrow.

I thought that yellowing from nitrogen def starts with the oldest leaves? The leaves just below the tops look nice and green.

I suspect the light is too close?

I recently suspected this and was wrong though. That's what I get for predicting before all the info comes out. haha.

In this garden, tops like that are from the lights too close. Always get it at about week 2-3 of flower, when start really lowering the lights.

Yanno, what's too close because I have got a 1000W HPS on the two of those plants and my way to measure it was putting my hand down there on top of my plant and if my hand wasn't getting hot, then that wasn't too close for my plant. Is that wrong?

Depends. How long have they been under the hps light? How long in the MG soil with no feed?

If it was N deficiency, the plant would be pulling food from the lower leaves.
various micro nutrient deficiencies can make tops yellow. iron and sulfur i think. sulfur is rare. iron def makes super yellow, sickly looking new growth. yours look more like the light is just a little intense for the plant. Especially suspect this since it appears as though the other, shorter pic in the plant does not look like it has it as bad.

ive never used straight miracle grow before, but i am guessing it is not packed with micro nutes.

I mix it into the soil when planting ornamentals and such, or top dress in an outdoor garden.
