Im going right down to the hospital to get all my health care needs taken care of right now!!! Got a carbuncle, a corn, need a cyst removed and might as well get a full battery of tests, MRI's and X-Rays done, plus blood, urine and stool workups. Its free right? I wonder if they can do something about my MPB, and my legs have been itching lately, plus there is that arthritis thing that bothers me from time to time. See if I can get them to clean my ears out while I am there too. Prostate exam might be something too. hmmmmm so many services I can take advantage of now that healthcare is free.

The bright spot in the ruling is that the majority ruled that the mandate cannot be upheld under the commerce clause, so we will creak along under the current "Wickard/Raisch" interpretation.

It ain't much, but it is a small bone to those who believe the constitution is more than just a pretty, antique document to decorate the wall of the living room.

What's funny is it starts in a year and a half and no one knows the first thing about how it works. I really thing its a good idea, but how its set up is going to make pharmaceuticals bigger power house then they already are. We all know how they feel about MMJ.

Actually it's not free. Health insurance is shit and it's gonna stay shit, partly thanks to this "health care reform" or whatever you wanna call it...

I like the pre-existing condition shit though

Chief Justice John Roberts argued that "all bets are off" when it comes to the federal government authority if Congress was found to have the authority to regulate health care in the name of commerce.

This makes ObamaCare the largest tax increase in American history.
An overwhelming majority of Americans (54%-38%) want the individual mandate part of the bill repealed.

I think it's a double edge sword for Obama and the democrats, a major victory in court but it very well could be his demise come November.

i doubt it, it never seems to work out that way.

I wouldn't start counting that money if I were you, ObamaCare will be repealed by the end of January anyway.

and you believed them? o_O

nothing is free in the US. Either someone else has to pay it for you, or you are paying for it a way you don't understand.
What? You mean the doctors, nurses and hospitals aren't just going to GIVE it to me? That seems wrong, healthcare and health insurance is a human right, we shouldn't have to pay for these things, government should provide them at no cost to us.

How many hours a year will I have to work to buy the mandatory insurance?
This must be a victory for freedom, It is good to know everyone will be required to purchase insurance, I hate the idea of people being uninsured in the land of the free, and how could we be called the land of the free without free healthcare. Before I would have had to work and use my money to pay a doctor when I got sick, but now I can work to purchase insurance and if I get sick I can request permission from my insurance provider to see a doctor- This is a major victory, let the bell of freedom ring

I have a guy that I've lived with for 6 years. we're basically married... except we're both men. He has a real job and makes the serious money. I grow the weed, sell a bit on the side to make a little bit of extra money, take care of the house, cook the meals, make sure the bills are getting sent out, etc. Since we cannot get married or be recognized under the law, I cannot get benefits under his insurance plan. Because of that, I have been without health insurance for the last 8 years. This now gives me the opportunity to pay for insurance.

I would like to be insured. I am unemployed. I am not a drain on society. I make money. I would like to spend some of that on insurance. I can now do that.

well... I can do that at some time in 2014 (when it goes into effect).

i have no option right now to get health insurance. I am unemployed... so I can't get it through a job. I'm not going to suck on the government teet and get medicaid. Trying to buy private health insurance without a job is impossible. Now it will be.

I'm not sure but I think there might be a hole in your argument
