Thanks for the reply, I am really looking forward to it!Best of luck!
I picked my first ones last night =), i'm pretty pumped about trying them tonight.
and don't worry, once you get some myc growing you can make all the jars you could ever want!
They are 4 oz.Are those 1/2 pint? They look like the little 4oz ones.
I put a large amount of cc and I have warm temperature, they are not in an incubator. I just put them upside down for a second to show growth I didn't realize the negative effects, thanks. That is some really great growth for Day 5. I don't know about full colonization in a week though. I guess it's always good to experiment and figure out what works for you.
Just a tip, if you have a dry verm layer, putting the jars upside down allows condensation on the inside of the jar to dribble down and wet the verm layer, making it defeat the purpose of it being a contamination filter.
Are they inside of an incubator?
I've had jars take as long as 2 months before 100% colonization, albeit, I used tall half pint jars, which I have no clue if it makes a difference or not.
I don't have it prepared yet, but tomorrow I'm picking up some Perlite and make a shotgun styled chamber.Oh my bad I thought they were half pint masons haha.
Anyways nice man.. What type of FC are you using?
