How would raising taxes affect you and our economy?

You've got to be kidding me, really!
And IF your aunt had balls, she'd be your uncle.
I'm quite serious. If trickle-down worked, it would float all boats evenly, on average. Like the man said in the movie, it's "fairly explanatory". If there is a disconnect thee, i'd appreciate if you identified it rather than just laugh. cn

they don't want to answer the question about who benefited from trickle down :( all thye want to do is make excuses for why we're not swimming in jobs :( that makes me a sad sexual harassment panda.
No, we don't take "assignments" from you, we make you work for us.

if you want to talk about effective tax rates, we need to talk about everything that gets taken out of our paychecks. my effective tax rate (gross, before refunds) was 25.92% the last year i worked as a desk jockey.
"before refunds"...........lol............

oh, let's not forget tobacco and alcohol taxes. let's make sure to include all those little taxes that show up on my phone, electric, water, and gas bills. fuck me silly that's a lot of taxes. can we even include imbedded taxes? like when i play a round of golf, part of what i'm paying is the golf course's property tax, water tax, etc. nah, let's just stick to the ones that inevitably come out of my paycheck. 25.92% it is.
You don't pay for your golf, your father-in-law does.

This argument is very questionable. Buck doesn't even work anymore. All he does is "grow and sell pretty flowers" according to him. Sometimes he claims hes a treadmill salesman, which obviously isn't doing to well if hes making 22k a year. But then he goes and makes fun of some guy in another thread for failing at running his own business because he works everyday of the week. I am coming to the conclusion he has some sort of bi-polar in him. Either that, or he's just a compulsive liar who will say anything to back up his argument.
My vote is for the compulsive liar

We elected Obama, so we should have tons of jobs by your reasoning, right? and production should be way up, right?
I really don't see what Obama has to do with this at all, really anyone who thinks he has something to do with this either negative or positive is living a bit of a fantasy. The fact that anyone thinks Obama or any president has actually done something in regards to this is based on some kind of fantasy. I would argue that every president including Obama has widened the gap between rich and poor regardless of anything they have said or done. The belief that either the Republicans or the Democrats are working to serve in our interest being the greater delusion.

the guy who left us a projected surplus thinks obama is the man, the guy who left us a great recession thinks romney is the man.

Do you have any sort of point here? Trickle down is retarded so whats your point?

I feel your conclusion is the Republicans are corrupted liars so that must mean the democrats aren't? There is no connection, you have absolutely no point. This is a bunch of bullshit rhetoric and fucking lies from both sides and has jack squat to do with anything whatsoever.

And thats why your a fucking stoog, you trust politicians. You also think that presidents actions or in this case words without actions (obama) effected the economy dramatically in some way, it didn't, it has nothing to do with this at all. Thanks for being off-topic like your buddy.

Notice how your chart takes a rise in the beginning of2010, is it a coincidence that it coincides with Obama extending the tax cuts? LOL

Figure 5: Share of capital income earned by the top 1% (blue line) and bottom 80% (red line), 1979-2003
(From Shapiro and Friedman, 2006.)

Abscissa: per cent
Ordinate: dates, 1979 to 2003. cn
OK, so that's "capital income", right? "Capital Income is the income which comes from wealth itself not from direct work."
