the point is basically to keep all the tops at equal height so none of them get more energy than others, the plant then focuses on all growth rather than one branch primarily(why the top bud is usually the highest yielding). and i know what you mean, growin weed has its benefits for sure, very fun to watch too. sometimes i wonder how many thousands of dollars i saved on weed by growing it.

I really dont mind what i get out of the plant it could be a male for all i know,but we'll find out soon enough!this grow is mainly just to get my feet wet and just give it a try.if im succesfull i will buy more expensive and better equipment i just didnt want to pour money into something i wasnt going to be able to do.i am really enjoying it and plan to grow maybe ten fifteen plants at a time maybe even more. Im going to flower once the leaves and branches stop growing the opposite from each other because i heard that is when they reach sexual maturity.i really dont want a huge plant because i have just about three feet of vertical space in the grow room and they can double in size when flowering. I appreciate all the advice and if you have any more information that is beneficial just let me know.

just try to learn as much as possible with this grow id say, if you get a female you should attempt to take the lowest branches as clips so you dont eliminate any useful tops. as for the branches not growing opposite of each other, it doesnt really show maturity, but under your lighting it might be a better idea to start flower around 6 inches, they can stretch 2.5x their size sometimes(some strains even more) so training might be necessary to get any lumens to anywhere besides the highest node. 3 ft of vertical space is plenty for a scrog grow or training, so you got a lot to work with if you tie it down or make it grow along the tubes. how tall is it now anyway? pics may help to make suggestions.

Ive tried to upload pics from my phone and ipad which did not work.i have to look for my camera because i can just connect to the computer and upload it from there.theres not much to see anyways its just a small space under the stairs that i can fit my plants in its kinda like a mini closet.but its nice because it has an electrical outlet so i dont have to use extention cord
