Dude, swisher- did you read the rest of his post?!? He was kidding, and made a very good point. Although probably 99.8% of the people on this forum are just fellow enjoyers, there could be- and if I worked for the government in lets say the DEA, places like this would be the first place I'd go online. Obviously I don't, just saying that Hotwire made a very valid point that if you want to stay out of jail, and enjoy your weed, and enjoy talking about it on here, then don't take anyone at face value- a guy you enjoy comparing notes with could be DEA, a girl you flirt with could be DEA, or your roomates (that you already don't trust or like) could turn you in- and oh look, they did. The point is they are probably not, but is it worth the risk? To enjoy your weed for life, be smart and especially on here, with people you don't really know, don't be cavalier, be careful, and be private.

Outsiders browsing this forum to find information on this particular guy isn't where the problem lies. It's that he's got all these neat little cookies stashed on his machine, and chances are he's running Windows, which means shit gets deposited into the registry that makes it VERY difficult to completely remove. LEO relies on this and people's ignorance. If you can't do a reformat of the hard-drive or have access to one of those (alleged) file cleaners, my own advice is to get a big-ass magnet and PHYSICALLY wipe your drive.
He's clearly used his computer to put this stuff up here, is my point, and all they need to do is confiscate the machine and BAMMO, it's all out there to nail his ass to the wall.

Amen brother. This whole situation shouldn't have happened, but it did and shadymeister getting revenge will just make matters worse, it'll make him bitter and will not help his situation one way or the other. The person that ratted him out is a real asshat, but what's done is done.
Shadymister, just get a good lawyer and listen to him. AND REALLY LISTEN THIS TIME, your counsel will help you decide what you should and shouldn't do. Then let him help you and hope for the best, I truly hope they are lenient with you. I'll give you some advise, you may want to consider not posting about this scenario on this board and all others, you don't want your words to be used against you. If your roomates alerted the police about your two plant grow, it's very possible that they are aware of this thread and the other threads regarding this matter. Getting generic advise is one thing, putting all the facts of this situation in black and white is simply foolish with an active felony case on the table and all, your lawyer should tell you the same, ask him.
With that said, It's hard not to say that many people advised you on how to avoid being caught in your situation. What's done is done, this cannot be changed, and demeaning you for ignoring the sound advise people gave you is unfortunate. But despite this, It truly sucks and I truly feel for you, and like I said, listen to your counsel, and hope for the best, I'm pulling for you as well and as said, I hope their lenient with you.
For all new and old growers out there, loose lips sink ships and the #1 reason low level growers are caught, is tips from people that know what your doing.
I might not grow for years, and when and if I do, you can bet your @ss that when I have a crop, not even my closest friends know about it. When I was younger, I had roomates, and if I grew, I took every possible precaution, and they never knew what I was doing. Matter of fact they didn't even know I smoked herbage.
In the thirty plus years I've grown, I always follow basic simple guidelines, rule #1 is to keep what your doing to yourself. I also refrain from posting photos of my grow online, this is just my preference, it's worked for me for many years, but others should do what makes them comfortable.
The easiest way to NOT GET CAUGHT, is to not tell or show anyone anything.
The only sole that knows what I may be doing at any given time is my cat, and he ain't talking.

What you admit to the po-po and what they can find on your computer may be two different things, though. The OP was clearly worth busting, so at this point it's worth grabbing his computer. Most people don't even know how to clear their history, let alone cookies, let alone registries on Windows OSs. Working in Linux makes it easier for me, plus, I own one SERIOUSLY big-ass magnet.

You shouldn't even consider selling out someone. That shit comes back to bit you in the ass every time. If you get locked up and someone finds out you snitched, even if you did it on the outside, god help you. It aint worth it. I been there man, I never snitched on nobody, even though it almost definatly would have cut my time in half Be the better man. Punch their fucking faces in... I think that if your parents really own a law firm, you would have nothing to worry about with only a couple of plants anyway. It sucks but, what are gonna do. Actually you already harvested didn't you? There probibly gonna weigh it wet and charge you with a huge amount. Have your lawyler to tell the judge that the weigh they gave was more then you had, It would have dried some by then, maybe they will weigh it again and get the charges lessoned or even get it dismissed.

I think he'll get off on the manufacture, but might get cultivation, Im no lawyer though.

I've yet to see anyone get more then a year or two for a first offence of pot, No matter how much they had. Most drug trafficers who get big sentences, have been arrest more then once before they began trafficing.
