Yes everyday people ask me if i smoke and i constantly dont know what to say because ive had the exact conversation ^^ but ive also said no and then they almost went and blazed without meI get high, and I medicate. Can't I do both at once?
Though I prefer to ask other patents, when asking if they smoke/eat weed, "Do you medicate?" This is better than asking, "Do you get high?" as I feel that's a very singular, subjective question. And it's better than asking, "Do you smoke?" Because this can be confused with cigarettes.
I've been asked out in public on more than one occasion, "Do you smoke?". Me not giving a caring, not thinking, and wanting to see where this is going (me probably high) I answer honestly, "Yeah, I smoke". Then that's usually followed up by the person asking if I can spare a ciggarette. I don't even smoke cigarettes. Sorry dude, misunderstood the question.
And i dont know where you live but here if you said "lets go medicate" people would look at you odd(different strokes i suppose). But generally i say "lets go smoke" becasue my friends all know what i mean.

I think this medicating shit is just an excuse to legaly smoke. In my day we all smoked to get high, no one ever said "hey my headache went away, this is good medicine" don't get me wrong those who have a card are fortunate, unlike we stoners who have to be descreet. Wish I could live in a state that I could get my "medicine" but alas I don't. Anyhow smoke on my friends, smoke on!!!

let's call a spade a spade and be honest is all i ask... even magazines like high times should change their name to medicating times as they have long since forgotten all about the underground, you know, those people who broke the law simply to get high for years and years, and have their heads so far up norml's ass it's not even funny.. it's hardly even worth reading anymore imo..

See your logic and at a point i would agree but not anymore. I agree shannon i like the activity of smoking, hookah does nothing for me (maybe a very very mild buzz the first 5min) but i like to relax and blow some rings with friends.
Ive read threads about heroin users going over the same thing they get into the ritual and one was talking about being clean but still shooting up water sometimes because he liked shooting up

fuck no, i loved to shoot up b'cuz two seconds later i was laying on my back with a huge orgasmic rush coming over my body, lol.. once i stopped the drug, i also stopped shooting up..
i've heard similar stories though, i just think those people are idiots...

I use the vape to medicate on weekdays and i'll vape an extra bowl or 5 on the weekends to actually get high. Keeps my tolerance lower if I want to get high and my system has enough cannabinoids during the week to avoid flare ups...

I always have used pot to get high, still do. but since I ficked my neck muscles up the weed help relax them. If I don't I get severe migrains. I don't use the term "medicate" unless kids are around. i say lets go smoke a bowl. alot of people do use the medical aspect of it to be legal, but hey IT"S LEGAL... so why not use the term. it's not like people that are going to use oxy are saying lets go medicate. they go get fucked up. plain and simple

I've used oxy before when I actually needed it and I would say I need to take my medicine. Once I was addicted and didn't need it anymore, I'd say I was gonna take a pill.

Oxycodone is a legitimate medicine just like pot.. so people should only say they're medicating if they seriously need it. Most people that are medicated aren't rolling around on the ground in pain until they smoke a joint.
I'm not making sense but fuck it.. I'm medicated. jkjk
