what you guys think of this natural co2 generator kit?

Found this from mushroom company that is at our local farmers market....they make and sell a all natural co2 producer kit for your grow room...they say just put it infront of a fan and it will last for months . it comes with a compost date sticker to let you know when it is done and to toss it out......they are very cheap and claim to sustain 10-12 plants so you may need to run a couple of them in a bigger room....here is a link to their website ...i am thinking about getting a couple.....what you guys think??

nice find very intresting might give it a shot. you do know you can make getto co2. with yeast/sugar/water. many vids on the tube.

I think they didn't show the price - so it is probably way above and beyond what a paper bag full of wood chips and a little Mycelium is really worth! Why not elimenate the middle man and get your hands on some Mycelium? Make your own for pennies on the dollar!

Actually if you click the buy it now button it says its only $19.95...... i didn' think that was too bad.....besides the company frequents my local famers market so i can pick them up easily.........

Okay, replace that every 60 days (thier reccomendation), that's $10 a month, that's $120 a year. It's your money!

I find that 3 iguanas...me and my boyfriend....and the others who live here provide plenty of co2 for our grow. Sometimes I spritz them with co2. These bags might work well if you get a bunch of them and have a sealed room but it will only raise the levels only slightly. These are basically the same as "exhale bags" which have been on the market for some time now. But in the end its all up to you, trial and error and your own experiences are the best experience

i am picking a couple of these up on sat. i will post a couple pics and see if it helps at all..........my room is in my basement....and is pretty sealed ......so in my case i think a little co2 may help......besides i can support the local farmers market either way...

Interesting approach. The overall benefit to your plants depends on how much enrichment the product actually provides. We know from the literature and practical experience that raising the ambient CO2 level in the grow area from 300 ppm to 600 ppm provides significant growth rates; I prefer 700 ppm. I didn't note any claims regarding CO2 output at their site. I can only assume that the CO2 levels would not approach optimum and that to maximize the product, the grow area should be as small as possible. But for a small non-commercial grow any cheap additional CO2 would be a good thing. Sounds good to me!
