lost in melbourne

hey mellowheads,

i've been a stoner in my youth but took a break for a while as it didn't agree with my lifestyle. these days i feel like i've reached a place where i'm content leading a quiet life and would like to bring back the old friend. i would love to get into growing for personal use, experimenting with different breeds - not so much the old 'lets get stoned and party' but more of a 'enjoy the good things in life' attitude. not sure where to start though - i'm in melbourne, australia where its not exactly lawful and lost touch with old contacts. i try to avoid bars so finding new contacts, especially the more mature, easy-going types seem difficult. also the issue of seeds - how safe would it really be to order from a seedbank? australia has fairly strict rules on importing plants even if they weren't illegal!

anyway, as i said, i'm just lost about this atm.. let me know if you have any hints or advice for me... would also love to make contact with similar minded people :)

I'm a complete noob at this so I have no business whatsoever giving anyone advice, but I thought I would say hello anyway. ;-)

thanks kronika, good people are definitely one of the things i'm looking for - been keeping myself away from people for a while, miss the passing around of the bong between mellowed out friends and enjoying a stinky bud together...lol

different country, but pretty similar situation
contacts long gone, so mail order seeds were the only option
it's worked out great though i think USA customs is not as hazardous as Oz's are
if possible, take your time to setup a safe address for your seed drop, this may take some time and effort
the seed ordering process is generally not the risky part, growing is, but extra safety never hurts

Hey mate, I'm in wa and give the seeds a go. I ordered from sea of seeds, uk based, ant got ultra stealth shipping. Worked great, but took me a few hours to find the fuckers. Ont worry bout getting sent to your house, just put them under a false name. Even in the case they somehow find out there marijuana seeds(which is almost impossible) the most they will do is sent you a letter saying they have seized your item, organic material. Go for it, I never had any dramas.

P.S, I'm pretty baked right now so not my falt for spelling mistakes
