At the beginning of my grow i had 3 seedlings of bag seed, i am down to only one now and just put it into 12/12 lighting. I received an order of Lowryder 2 seeds in the mail today, will lowryder be able to growing on 12/12 lighting? Normally i would just wait until the mature plant is harvested but im short on money and would really like to be able to plant all of my plants ASAP.

i think its recommended that you go 18/6 throughout the whole grow for best results.... im sure 12/12 would work, but you might yield a little less..

just what i have read..

Yea it'll work but take a bit longer (1 or 2 weeks) and probably yield a bit less. Not a big deal, really.

I'm using the aerogarden for lowryders as well but i use the herbs and basil setting. 18 hrs. i have a nice tall female in the flowering stage right now. be warned they may grow taller than expected i've already had to tie mine down. she's 34 days today.

I plan on breeding eventually. I am going to be moving at the end of the summer and will have to kill my plants off, Hopefully ill be able to get quite a few seeds before then so once i get to my new location i can continue right away, any good ideas on strains to try breeding?

just breed your lowriders together!!!! i dont know how i would feel about cross breeding lowrider with anything else besides its self because its SUCH a DIFFERENT plant than any other MJ plant. this would produce some strange and unpredictable F1 hybrids. you could get an autoflowering seed or not....

just my opinion:mrgreen:

any other plants are fine to cross breed IMHO....

I think i will do that, i need to get some seeds and im tired of buying them. I Would also like to maybe buy some lowryder hybrids to breed with. Ever heard of Alaskan Thunder Fuck? I found a lowryder strain that comes from the same genes as ATF, breeding that with lowryder could be intersting

you should plant at least four JIC one doesnt pop and so you'll have a better chance of getting a male and female if you want to breed...

for example, what if only one of the seeds pop and that one turns out to be a male? that would suck and you would have wasted 3 weeks or so b4 the preflowers start to show up...

JMHO:mrgreen::mrgreen:

edit- opps nm, at first i thought you were growing the first lowrider because your title says just "lowrider" and not LR2

how many seeds are you planting?

Im planting 3 seeds, ideally i would plant all 5 but due to space im doing to stick with three. Since i am growing with an aerogarden all of the plants are in the same resivour of water. this means that my seedlings will be feeding off of the nutes i have been giving my much larger more mature plant. Any thoughts as to what might happen?

can you post a pic of what your aerogarden looks like? it doesnt have to be specifically yours, but one similar, im not too familiar as to what the AG's look like..... im sure they some are different than others.

also, if your going to put seedlings with your mature plants, i wouldnt go more than 700ppm or 1/2 strength for two weeks or so... maybe start out at 400ppm or 1/3 strength than work your way up to 1k ppm after two weeks.... thats what i would do anyway.

so its an aero unit? lol, sorry for the silly question, but it could also be a drip feed from the pic..... idk

how much did you pay for it? it came with the lights?

no worries, ya its an aeroponic system, its designed to grow garden herbs. It came with lights which work well although i will need more lighting once all the plants are mature. I paid 150 for the entire setup. Its a little expensive for as simple as it is. but any other set up would have been to big. Once i am out of the house im in now ill invest in a bigger more efficent grow room

seems perfect for the beginner that wants to try hydro... i dont think its that overpriced myself... say if you harvest two oz's it will pay for itself. i would like to get one for some fresh herbs and veggies :D it would take a little longer to payoff itself that way though
