Germed on the 28th (8 days ago), is the stem supposed to be this long without leaves? Does it look okay?

If it grows a few inches in the next day or so could be the light is too far and it is "reaching" too early to tell, looks normal.

Looks like the shell is stuck, and the soil is pretty wet.

You can, very gently pry away the seed shell. DO NOT, squeeze the stem or you'll kill it.

Thanks for the replys. I'm using coco and soaked it before i planted, but I haven't watered yet. I hope this is ok. I might try to get the shell away from the seed later on, although its strange how both of them ahve done it.

You can build up the soil around it to keep it from toppling, lower light, if florecent..If heat emmiting, find a fan and expell the heat if lowering light. MJ will stretch to the light, as well as strech away from it, if its too hot/

Thanks mate. They don't actually have a light yet, they are usign the sun at the mo. Will add lights tonight or next few days

well if you have them in a window they are stretching because the window doesn't provide sufficient lighting. if I were you I would go down to the local hardware store and buy a 42 watt daylight cfl and keep it 1 inch away for the plant. will stop stretching. also if the plant falls over or is leaning severely just stake it up with a toothpick and some twine. make sure to tie the twine a lil loose as to not choke out your sprout. hope this helped. good luck. hit me up for anymore question or help.

I've also had this problem mate, peel that shit off slowly, and you'll be right. Also, what lights are you using? Cause when I had this problem I had one light on, but then I put in an extra light and my shit went nuts and grew flowers quick

what the hell. You're trying to say a 42 watt cfl puts out more lumens than the sun? It's summer buddy not fall or winter the sun is out longer. Especially after june 15th or 17th the days will be really long.

I heard its pretty hard to overwater with coco. Although I haven't actually watered them once yet lol
Yes you can. I noticed you don't have anything to help aerate the coco. Like perlite or hydroton, the way you have it right now you will overwater.

Cool thanks mate, the shell has now fallen off both naturally :D

I might have to use the toothpick idea though as they are quite lanky.

Just a little update, reason for slow growrth is its still not under a lamp yet, it will be ASAP though! Everything looking normal?
