Could you flower with this LED?

I'm not sure if links are allowed, so in case it gets deleted, its a 24 watt (125w equiv) LED floodlight, and the color is 3000k. I'm wondering if its possible to use LED floodlights in general, and also how much of a difference a 3000k light would make verses a 2700k for flowering. I know 3000k is okay, but how much of a difference in quality and amount of bud would it make? :bigjoint:

Not sure, i'd say it's close enough to 2700k but I would expect it to take more than a couple of them to get decent results. Probably better off as supplemental lights?

Yeah its like a one plant grow tho, so i was hoping 2 of these lights and a 32watt 2500k cfl would do the job for flower.
Has anyone every grown with an LED floodlight? They're bright, and they don't make much heat, so if their the right spectrum, shouldn't it be fine? :confused:

That would be a neat experiment, I was going to say to supplement with cfl to help for one plant. I think it can be done.

Well i'm gonna tell you that I bought a couple of eco smart led bulbs atHD last year for house hold lighting, not one is still functioning, my Philips led light bulbs are all still working.....so maybe see if HD sells something similar made by Philips instead of their own junk brand eco smart.....good luck

how much would the cheapest ufo be (enough for 1 plant)? Isn't it like around a hundred or more? If so, that's out of my budget

dangg for 150, i think i'd consider getting some sort of HID and a ballast. I'm considering just using that last bulb that linked to (the 2700k one) for flower, maybe 2 of them, along with some 2700k and 2500k cfls. For veg im probably going to use one of those 42 watt 6500k cfls that fits in the regular sockets. im pretty sure my home depot sells zt least one kind of those

I personally wouldn't get those lights for growing... For the cost of them you could get 3-6, 2700k CFL's at a decent wattage or even 1, 125w CFL... Ignore the equivalent watts because you only want Actual watts... Those LED spotlights you want will not do as good as a decent CFL setup imo.

So yeah for the price of 2 of those bulbs, you could get a decent CFL setup OR a decent 250w HPS Setup.

Once you've yielded a few times then go for the good LED's, if that's the road you want, next grow I'm grabbing a 240w Blackstar and a 100w blackstar UFO they are definitely worth the investment! Cheap to run, yield very well (with the 3w chip sets) and are easy to cool a room.

alright it looks like its CFLs from veg to flower....thanks a lot for the input, sounds like CFLs are fine for anything
