Nutes and such

Hey guys I'm new here, but have a decent amount of (all natural) grow experience. I got a couple plants going this year and one thing keeps racking my brain.. Nutes. There are sooo many to choose from and the only cheap one step mix I can find is "Veg Bloom". Not looking to go all high tech about it I just want something I can mix with a gallon of H20 and let it do all the work.

BTW- It's a soil grow :weed:

Are you growing them in the ground or in containers? I like to pick my medium before I decide on a nutrient or fertilizer.

Got a few of them in pots and 2 in the ground. Plan on stacking pots instead of trying a transplant.

Off topic- How do I change my profile pic? :wall:

For your plants that are in the ground, look for a slow release organic fertilizer. Veg+Bloom is cool in containers or in a hydroponic setup (just started testing a sample), but your going to use it every week. In the ground and in raised beds, I rather continue to use Kellogg's All Purpose Organic Fertilizer (NPK 4-4-4). It's also a dry powder, but it's made for soil. It won't work in a hydro setup, but in soil its amazing. Its slow release so you only need to feed your plants 2-3 times throughout the entire season and it's only $7 as Home Depot or Lowes. Cheaper then Veg+Bloom or Jacks 20-20-20.

You say that you're just looking for something to occupy your time.......WARNING....this is a very addictive hobby! Learn the basics, if you manage to germinate, you will need them!

I use Alaska Fish Fertilizer for veg (5-1-1)
Alaska MorBloom for flowering (0-10-10)
Both are all organic and cheap.. I have never burned a plant with this stuff.. I use a weak solution everytime I water..
