I thought it was a scorpion. The manager's wife had it pinned under a broom handle and I saw a brown tail thrashing. That was enough for me. So from a distance I assumed it was a scorpion.Holy shit! Georgia has Scorpions???? I did not know that.
I have some good news for you. Do you know what the best spider repellent is (doesn't matter what kind of spider)? Lemons, Limes and Oranges. Apparently they hate citrus. I tried it here at the house with a grass spider. It ran like Satan himself was prodding it with his pitchfork. It was just the odor too. I squeezed a lemon and blew on it towards the spider. It didn't even hesitate... although... considering my lunch it could have been my breath.
In this situation I was not going to let my curiosity get the better of me. I can guarantee you I can out run a scorpion (I think).
Edit: Thanks for the citrus tip I'll need it down there. At least I like cham-cham-cham-chameleons, I'm trying to do a Boy George impersonation.
