Update time.

Today is day 16 of 12/12
Well, I got everything sexed. I had 5 plants and my only male was plant B. I chopped him down days ago (day 11). The other 4 plants turned out to be female. Even little plant E!

I do have some bad news though. Plants C and D hermied on me! Well, they shot out pistils on day 5 and showed a few pollen sacks on days 10-11. I fixed the problem (tiny light leak) and I haven't seen any pollen sacks since... I ordered some dutch master reverse just in case any more pop up...

So, as of today it has been 6 weeks since I switched my plants to 12/12. I'll have some pics up tomorrow. The plants look a little weak (yellow leaves, etc..), but the buds look good. It's like all of the life of the plant is being sucked out and put into the bud/production.

I vegged them for 48 days and they have now been in 12/12 for 43 days. Gettin pretty close!

And this is all done with cfls? Thats f-n awesome! Makes me wanna buy seeds. Its a little scary considering im already on probation. And I didnt know you could revvert hermies back.

Most of veg was done with CFLs only. Of course I had four 105W and one 43W CFLs. Right before I switched to 12/12 I dropped a 5500K 105W CFL and added a small 150w HPS. The plants love the HPS! I can only imagine what a 400w+ HPS could do! Of course, I wouldn't be able to control the heat in my closet....

Anyways, today marks 7 weeks passed since I switched to 12/12. I stopped the flower nutes and gave pure H2O today to start flushing for the last 2 weeks. Chernobyl takes "8-9 weeks to flower", and since I have so much CFL light im expecting it to take every bit (if not a little more) of the 9 weeks.

Yeah, I really didn't either. Even the information I was given on that subject was a little vague. Some said it could be done, others said no.

My two females that tried going hermie on me are doing wonderful now. I still check them for pollen sacks periodically, but I haven't seen any again.

Anyways, here's a little update. Yesterday I found a seed growing. it was young. It wasn't even white, it was green. I know a little pollen got out about 6 weeks ago, but it wasn't much. Hopefully it won't completely load my crop with seeds.

I looked and looked, but didn't find anymore. I'll be out of town for work til Wednesday so I'll see how they look then..
As far as I can tell, my plants are not going re-hermie..

Anyone got any opinions? I'm 7.5 weeks through a "8-9 week" flower...

I think they look awesome, ive ordered a 150w hps to add to my closet, im glad to hear it made a difference for yours. Did yiu leave all the cfls in there with the hps or just some.

I know its a little late to say this, but if I had it to do all over again, I woulda went for the 250w HPS. The 150w DID make a differenc3, but I just think the 250w woulda been badass. I really want a 400w HPS, but like I said, my closet will get to hot. I coulda dropped a CFL to accommodate a 250w HPS. That answers your Q though. I kept my CFLs. I got like 45000 total lumens now. Its nice!

Sweet, yea I'm in a closet now too, and with the door shut it gets up to 90 degrees. I actually cracked the dooe open and the temp dropped to 80, so I imagine ill have to leave the door open when the hps arrives. I wonder if 250 hps bulb would work in the fixture im getting. Prolly not, they make all this stuff so its not interchangeable, kinda pisses me off.

Yeah man, my closet is the same way and it's pretty big (3ftx5ft) for a closet. My GF left my door closed when I was at work all day and the temp was at 90-95F for like 10 hrs. :/ Fried one of my plants pretty good. As long as I leave my door cracked the temps range from 74-83F. That usually works out, but I really don't like going over 80F while my plants are flowering. They don't like it either. Lol

As far as the HPS bulbs being interchangeable, I don't think so. I think you nailed it right on the head. They don't make things easy so you have to buy/pay more. Lol
