I had this Q. come up recently. I have never done this......... & discouraged against it . Can you switch your 12/12 light cycle from 8am - 8pm. to 8pm - 8am? (3 weeks into 12/12). Anybody had to do this? Thanks :blsmoke:

you'd be fine and it won't fuck anything up.. simply leave them in the dark for the extra hours until the new time comes up..
for ex, if they now go off at 8 pm and you want the new on time to be 8pm, simply turn the lights off at the 8pm and leave them like that for the 24 hours until 8pm rolls around..
flowering plants go off of dark hours, not light hours, so anything more then 12 hours of darkness will keep them in flowering mode..

i've had to do the same thing before and nothing negative happened ime.. i'm sure it won't be a problem.. :)

I did this by accident & faked up 3 plants. Turned one hermie & he-she messed with my pther 2 plants. Lots of seeds. Smoke was still acceptable though. Just picking out the seeds was a pain in the ass.

Wouldnt recommend it.

leaving plants in the dark for an extended period of time will not cause them to hermie what so ever.. not saying that yours did not, i'm just saying that it wasn't caused from the extended dark period is all..
lots of people leave their plants in about 48 hours of dark after veg and before flower, or do the same thing at the end of flower, and it won't cause them to hermie..
if you interrupt the dark cycle, this is what will cause issues as plants need atleast around 12 hours of constant darkness to continue flowering.. :)

My mistake, I might have not been clear on what I did.

I put them under 24hour light by accident by plugging in a few CFL's into the non-timered plug :( THey were under 12/12 for 3-4 weeks then 24 hour light for a week or so then back under 12/12.

Starting crop 4 right now. Just put them under 12.5/11.5 on Sunday. Hope all works well.
