when do u start counting ur flowering days?

nobody talked about gettin done. just when to start counting down. if you wanna master a strain you need to know how long it should flower.
but then again, bloom time changes ... regardless of strain. your WW this year might wanna go one week more than your WW last year.
bottomline, mr marijuana said it. its done when its done. BUT you if you wanna keep notes and compare bloomtimes of different strains, you need to know when to start counting.

i wonder how many ppl harvest early in this regard, a plant is done when its done, not when u say its done, just bc the breeder says its will finish in 60 days, doesnt make it true, as many other factors such as adequete lighting, temps and airflow, are involved,. so u start counting from 12/12 swich, do u see flowers on ur plant then, no. so y r are u counting, maybe 5-7 days later u see pistils poppin out, preflowers, still not flowering, again y are u counting there not flowering yet, and finally about another 5-7 days go by, and there are noticable small buds, THIS IS THE START OF FLOWERING, so u start counting, this still doesnt mean a supposed 60 day plant will finish 60 days on the nose, as i said their done when there done. ppl shouldnt base there harvest on a calender date, and for those counting from the 12-12 switch, do u realize ur cutting an essential 2 weeks off the plants flowering phase bc u started counting early, the last two weeks of flower being when the buds really swell and harden up, and truly finish

Agreed. a plant is done when its done. Advertised flowering times are just a guide for choosing strains. As he mentioned so many factors involved.....I dont think there is a definitive time to start counting.

This is how I have been doing it.i've been waiting till I see a couple of hairs all over then I start counting. It hasn't failed me yet I guess i'm just getting ready to cut her down lol she smells so good but i'm going to wait her out and get a 30x scope to check it out that way...

Yeah he's right on the part about it's done when it's done I was just seeing how everyone's count down was but everyone had pretty good points thank y'all for the help...

yes. each plant in your garden could be done on a different day. So check them rather than cut on a certain day.

everyone. its nothing personal. i just think everyone should have the opportunity to know the right way to use those three kinds of "there" up there, they're now more equipped to match their knowledge and not look like whoa how can I even read this...

For Ripening purposes: as listed per strain (i.e. 60-65 days), you usually use the method starting with when you see sex (usually exactly when you did, 3 days into 12/12).
For Nutrient Mixing purposes most feeding schedules are based off of when you switch to 12/12

Hope that clears up the different responses you have gotten.

The 1st day of the 12/12 off stage is the start of week one,so after 7 days that you at 1 week in.....
