Rockwool continuous drip?

Perhaps some of the more experienced growers could answer this one:

If I have rockwool slabs in dutch trays that drain into a well aerated reservoir (two 6 inch air stones in a 20 gal reservoir), is there any reason why I can't run the drip system continuously as a sort of hybrid between NFT and DWC? I'm using pressure compensated drippers so each plant gets approx 2 gph.

I used to water 5 (10) min. cycles a day with great success ....... Grodan changed their slabs, now they hold water longer. I've had problems since, with roots being to wet. Watering once every 5 days still having trouble. It's coco or Hydroton next for me.

I run 2 water lines 24/7 over a 6 inch rockwool cube set in a 10 inch mesh basket filled with hydroton perched onto of a 5 gallon bucket. Works for me!

Roots being "too wet" is only an issue if your water doesn't have enough dissolved oxygen (DWC proves this). What problems are you having exactly?

Check out my journal.... sorry forgot how to link it. I used to believe rockwool couldn't be to wet.
