so tonights mission is to sit here and watch the snooker and watch my timers to be sure there working as they should..

bit of a disaster as in theres a bird getting into the attic haven`t seen it yet but theres "evidence" everywhere..... doesn`t seem intrested in the girls at all tho...
 
Theres not gonna be any trips to amsterdam on the private jet or grow shed am afriad! 2 numbers and the bonus and you dont even get anything for that, horse cocks!

I just disconnected the two blackstar's and put my 250w hps back in. i want to see if i can get the plants to improve better with the hps for a while cause the plants dont drink anything at all with the led so the hps will dry them out and make them want to drink, i hope anyway lol
 
kang, i was talking to an old lady that lives down the road, shes a big gardening type, she had mentioned to me before to give tired or weak plants a drink of tea..

no milk or sugar of course...;) and i know how stupid it sounds, BUT..

i gave a weak and cold drink of tea to one of my girls about a month ago and the same plant again a week later.. she was smaller than the rest, there all the same height now...

so gave the rest a drink of the same and it didn`t hurt them in the slightest....there all green and bushy...
 
That's why I don't like CFLs or LED. They don't suit our
cool and mostly damp climate. The soil is not warmed
by the light like HPS/MH. This easily leads to root probs.
My buddy grows in a shed with 2 x 250 CFLs and his
yield / quality just doesn't compare. He does ok in the
summer but year round it just no good. That's not to say
CFLs are no good for some. But if your building a new
space AE, you won't reget a 600 HPS and make sure it's
a digital ballast. That's my opinion anyways

AE Did you get a magnifier yet? Next time I'm on my laptop

have plans for 400w mh veg room and 600w flower room all hps when the time comes,the cfl`s were intiallyto get me going but then we had some hold ups along the way....


thanks roobarb, i haven`t gotten a magnifier yet, have a jeweller mate hes going to get me a loupe 60x..

on growing with cfl`s: the 6500k cfls are the job for vegging, good growth and tight nodes, lushious green plants.. but there just not the right job for flower, they can do the job but as you lads have said, yeild aint up to much...

now i have yet to yeid and will be glad of what i get, but compared to some of the pic`s on here of hps grows mine pale in comparision....

Hahah you like to rub salt in the wounds do you? soil is no good for led that i am sure of, the coco from start to finish led will be a real tester plus i will have the proper nutes they need so problems dont start
