Sick children please help(new to growing)

They have been looking ok until the last few days. I had not fed them until last night at all as I wanted to wait a few weeks. I gave them some 20-20-20 jacks classic but only gave them half the recommended dose. I have been watering these plants with distilled water for the last week and a half or 2 as I wanted to use good water and I read that distilled water should have a pH of 7.0.

I am not sure of the issue I am having with these plants. I have 2 shitty pH testers one digital one not, they never really seem to work at all so I cant really trust them. I am going to grab some pH strips today or tomorrow to just give me a close idea to what everything is at.

I water the plants once every other day or every 3rd day when they start to dry out. they are in 12 ounce cups so when I water I usually give each plant 1/3 of the 12oz cup of whaters so 4oz. Could this be caused by a pH problem such as lockout or does this look like a watering issue...?? Probably shouldnt have thrown any nutes at it before finding the problem but I am new to this and my brain told me they looked like they were really hungry and needed to be fed. Hope that wasnt the wrong move.

Here are some pics, the far right one is the healthiest looking plant I have right now... I also added a pic of my entire little setup. These plants are to be going outdoors in the next month, IF THEY MAKE IT! BTW those are all 23w daylight cfls. there are 9 of them.

Overwatering and nute burn. Those little plants dont need much water right now, you should probably transplant into bigger containers and dont feed them nutes yet they are really small, to early for it. but if you want to add nutes the recommended dosage is 1/4 of whatever the dose says on the package

cool thanks man I wont water them for 4 or 5 days and see what happens. definitely wont feed them again for a bit!

when typically is a good time to start feeding. this is organic soil with nothing in it(at least thats what I was told) and I know that the soil itself usually has enough food for the plants to live off of for the first 3 or 4 weeks, thats why I figured it would maybe be a good time to throw some fert in there! Guess I made a mistake, owell its all a learning experience for me! Like I said before I wont water them for a 4 or 5 days and will def not feed them for a while.

i feed when they show me they will use it. if i see robust growth, i support it with a feeding. never force the issue, imo

sounds like a good rule to follow. probably should have used the common sense myself as they were growing great until I guess I overwatered them again :P they looked really good a few days ago then BAM droooopy leaves on all of them :(

Also I looked over you saying I should transplant them. I am really kind of stuck at that size right now as thats the only spot I have to grow them in. I could select the best looking ones and then just transplant those and kill the rest but what if I end up saving nothing but males! that would suck! Also as I said in my first post, I do plan on taking these plants outdoors in the next month or so and planting them in the ground with some good premixed soil.

the outdoors idea sounds good but for right now they probably need a bigger place to grow a good root system. Just save a couple of them and put them into like 2 or 3 gallon pots. that will hold you off till it gets to the right conditions outside

Yea growing is pretty tricky, never know what your gonna get with regular seeds.. Thats why most just go with feminizedbongsmilie i personaly am not gonna pay hella for the seeds though so i just take bagseeds that are most likely feminized and pop them in the soil:mrgreen: all female so far ha

Well, they aren't going to produce much if you leave them in the solo cups for the next month. Do you not have room for slightly bigger pots? Even a couple of inches more in diameter would help. I get most of my pots for free from nurseries. They throw them out all the time.

I could put them outside now but I want them to get a little bit bigger before I do so. I think I might kill a bunch of them and take the best looking ones and transplant them into bigger pots. I have about 25 or so in solo cups looking to maybe cut it down to 10 or 12.

Idea 2 I guess haha, what are your guys thoughts on transplanting them to bigger pots and taking them outside and then in maybe another month or so transfer them into the ground? I could easily get some pots and wire fence tomorrow and go put them out in my spots in the woods!

whoa.........it don't matter to me where you're from.....careful. our state isn't MMJ, and never will be. legalization on a national level will come before Pennsyltucky goes MMJ.

Well if the temps arnt above 70 yet and stable then you shouldnt put them outside. Its a good idea to strengthen them up before putting them outside, so take the best ones cause you sure as hell have enough lol and transplant them into bigger pots let them grow out a little more then when the weather gets better put them outside:).. just my opinion

You should be able to calibrate your digital ph tester. if it has a small hole with a screw inside somewhere on
the case you will be able to calibrate it.
