Setup looks good, but I'd get a better exhaust fan. Those duct fans are pretty crappy. They're good for intake, but I think they suck for exhaust (no pun intended).

Also, it looks like you have some light leaks. What's your plan for that?

no plan for the light leaks really...stealth is not my priority. and they are in the basement so they dont really receive any light during night hours, especially in the flower cab which is where it really matters.

the fan does 250 cfm as a booster and 160 freestanding. this is enough if the intakes are big enough. dont need/want/have the money to buy a $80+ dollar fan...

gas thanks for the info on humidity. i def remember a lot of that stuff from my bio classes last year...switched from bio pre med back to computer science this last year...didnt get to take the cool entomology classes that youre taking...anyway

we'll see today how the temps hold with the modding. keep yalls updated. just smoked some of my own herb. SO nice. lovin it.

to get you off his forum, ima just keep following you around till you stop being wrong diaz. if your ehaxust vent is at the highest point on your box you don't need more then a 12" computer fan, it's an exhaust fan durp, you can use a damn Chinese fan is you got creative enough, it's your intakes that need to be changed, cold air likes to stay low cold air does not like to wander in and out of areas, thus a fan is needed to PULL the cold air in, hot air will keep rising until it finds a way out or makes it to the well highest point so cutting a hole large enough to allow the same amount of air out as that's being fed into the box provides the exact same results, if your investing into large exhaust fans or higher powered ones your doing something wrong.
he is right about the light leaks though... surprisingly, being a roofer i'm guessing you have an abundance or caulking and tar kicking around. duck tape your corners/ edges thin layer of tar then caulk over top of it all and it will not only be light proof but water proof too.

ok im not a roofer. this is MY thread. roofwayne is a roofer.

youre correct about the intakes. thats why i made them bigger. mentioned that a few posts back.

light leaks dont matter. i thought i made that clear in the last post? i mean matter insofar as the amount of lights my plants receive during nighttime hours is inconsequential.

Hehe, I refuse to post pics of my DIY tent for just this reason. I'd have people left and right jumping all over me about light leaks - "it's in a dark attic people, yes small shards of light can escape out but there's no light in my dark attic to sneak in - not enough to have any sort of impact at least."

lol all comments are welcome! :-?

anyway gotta feed my mother. and check the temps. excited i think both cabs are going to start to thrive. temps are much better...along with humidity (nod to gas ;-))

veg cab: temps holding at 68 and humidity rising, currently at 57%

flower cab: temps holding at 79 and humidity rising, currently at 31%

loving it. should help a lot.

good to see you adapting with changes, the more we learn the better, all these temp ideas are very important, and Gas is full of useful info

my tent has light leaks up the azz and its in a well lit room and my girls are still flowering just fine. people regurjitate too much on these boards without any actual experience. from experience i can say, who fucking cares about light leaks, they dont matter.

correct, i have my tent in an open room, the door is wide open, the house is open. the window is covered ofcourse, the tent is on such an angle that light would not penetrate. i have had it this way always, and never had any issues. My Tent opening is facing my window. and the vent closest to the doorway is kept closed.

light leakage is over-rated. the moon gives of a surprisingly amount of light, and that never bothered any plants

I like it when people complain that they see light around the zippers of their tents. I see light around the zippers of my tents, but guess what? If I climb inside and zip it closed its fucking DARK! Hell of a lot darker than my yard at night.

^ I hear the moon causes hermies man, better shut that shit down :)

the meds they give for back pain aren't fun either.

i suffered a herniated disk they gave me vikodin and muscle relaxers that made me feel like shit. ended up stopping taking them after the second day because i was sick of nodding off in the middle of the day and not being able to function properly.

yeah, but she doesnt smoke or even drink really. occasionally she'll get a lil tipsy, but usually she'll pour a glass of wine and ill end up finishing it. so for HER, taking something to make the pain go away will b better than living with the pain. it was cause her keyboard at work was up too high, non ergonomic. they fixed it yesterday but she bent over to pet the cat this morning and got more shooting pains...so were guna go get some meds for her from the doctor, then going to the chiropractor a bit later. handy when your step father is a chiro...every little bit helps.

yeah good chance it will heal itself in a few days-a week. i know all too well what back pain feels like and its definatly not fun. about 2 weeks ago i had to walk/sit sideways and it stilll was hard to bear (walking and sitting sideways made it so i wasnt on the floor) it lasted about 9 days, first 3-4 days it started small and built up then it started to die down. the pain meds definatly made it bearable but i had to get off of them.
