today is day 19, and everything looks great......at the three week mark i clean out the understory real good, and assess where the plants are for nutrients.....there are a few girls that have a few yellow leaves at the very bottom/underside, and these plants will get top-dressed for the "swell"........i consider week 3 - 5 to be the most important as far as having your fuel dialed in perfectly, carbs and sugar too......so i will prune, stake (if needed), serenade, and sugar the girls around day 21........also check on my breeder male, to see where he is at, looks like he can be milked in about 10-14 days........if you remember, i only went 3/10 female with the ace of spades, so i had 7 males to select a breeder from......damn heat mat....duh!.......but it was a blessing in the end, as i found an absolute stud.......short, and stocky as hell, late flowering, and just reeks my whole house up.....(isolated in the house).........last year i selected a Qrazytrain male, and bred all my elites with it, and it served us pretty well....we ended up finding some pretty steller F-1 hybrids, most notable being the white domina, and wappa crosses........but threw my pallet way over to the indica side....he was heavily querkle dominant.........which ultimately ended up killing a lot of pain for my peeps, but sat us down pretty hard........so with this project, my goal is to wake us up a bit with some sativa traits, but still numb our pain.......creating pure ace seeds to share is exciting, but i have to admit, something tells me an ace/vortex blend may be a cool addition to the garden......yesterday i spent some time in the fabric store buying photo backgrounds, i am very excited to take some glamour shots of these girls.........pics to come soon, thanks for following along........
