Grow for Profit

I am lucky I own two business (not related to MJ). I do it to make a living my family can count on. I don't have to worry about some silly bullshit law that will shut me down @ any time. Business is about making money not loosing money. Being imprisoned for going to work or employing people is nonsense. FED laws are NOT favorable to growers or dispensaries. This is a model that says yes you can be shut down @ any time due to a myriad of threats AND Im new with no buyers lined up. Until the fed makes it legal its not business its a federal crime.

I have a lot of respect for the folks who are taking on HUGE risk, growing and running the dispensaries.

@ Wheels, Im sure your friend is doing well. I think his Lawyer may be doing better though $$$. Also your saying he is a dispensary owner. Does he grow too or buy from vendors? It does make a difference. As far as California read this link

Reading that tells me opening up a dispensary or growing is not a solid business model right now. Your opinions may vary

little bit of both actually. Technically he isn't growing it but one of his employees is for him. They buy mostly from grow ops becuz he wouldn't be able to support the dispensaries weed consumption with his own grown stuff it just supplements it a bit so he doesn't have to go co-op for the meds. Saves cash. Plus i never said it would be a solid business plan. Who knows the feds might find a way around his restraining orders but for the time being he is still making the money. And it greatly outweighs the lawyers fees, city fees and state fees.

Its all about how hard you want to go.. if you think your going to have some 2-6 lighter and work 20 minutes a day on it your nuts. SO MANY people try to grow in cali and TANK, because they suck. its not like you can grow shwag here and make it disappear for what you want for it. there is competition here. if you are growing top shelf, and i mean REAL top shelf, you will not have a problem. Go on craigslist in southern California or northern and see how much gear is on there. those people arent selling there gear cause they are killing it, they are ditching the disaster they signed up for. Like anything in life, if you have a knack for it, you can probably make money doing it. Growing is not easy, and its not a part time job for anyone that is doing it for more than a hobby.

thanks to those guys tanking it on craigslist im slowly building my army of supplies. lol. i get most of my shit on craigslist. inline fans and nice air cooled hoods are cheap as shit. wont buy used ballasts and bulbs tho. with my luck id burn my fuckin house down or something with that shit. lmao. and a lot of those guys need ten grand really quick. buy 2000 grand worth of equipment at wholesale price and smash out a few good harvests and once out of dept sell all the equipment at more than they paid for it cuz they got it wholesale. had a few buddies that made their garages into a nice little ops and dug themselves out of $10,000-$15,000 worth of dept in like 6 months while still covering costs like power and supplies. granted they worked full time still and it was hard on them with full time jobs but at least they dont have anymore credit card or student loan payments to make anymore.
