I suggest LTJ Bukem. He's not a trance guy, he does jungle, but his beats are a lot groovier in my opinion. He started his career as a jazz musician, and it shows in his productions.

^The snares are what you dance to. Lots of people get confused when they listen to drum and bass and just fidget around, it's actually quite atmospheric upbeat music... if that makes sense.
