Creating $50,000 strain

Jack and the beanstalk comes to mind, with $50,000 instead of a Golden goose.

Most RIU members are too old for fairytales, he needs to take this shit to 420mag maybe they can help.

firstly... to get a hieght, thc amount, smell, and effect in the strain..AND getting it stabilized... its going to take you much longer then 1 year... i hope you enjoy failing

Yeah your right I'm being stupid again, I added a 0 to each numb $10 a seed $5,000 overall, I am truly making a strain for the grower, he's just not bright when it comes to genetics which I how I don't understand that hw can grow but not breed very well.aside from that it'd still be nice to get a reply that's actually helpful instead of pictures that are pretty much pointing out my stupid ass mistakes. So please do help me.

Why not just pick any two strains and create some seeds then. Its what many of the so called pro's are doing anyway. From the level of your questioning it doesn't seem like you have the required skill set to breed your own stable strain. If you decide to ignore my advice you'll soon find that $5000 doesn't go very far in the breeding world.

This is great ...Sure this thread wasn't started on 4-1-12,lol.Sounds like the strain U want is already developed,8 Miles High,if U believe the breeders descript. it is a gift from Heaven.When avail. it costs about $3. a bean.Good luck on getting $100. for something similar......I am curious tho, I read breeder blogs,seed bank sites and collector threads.Have never seen a seed for more than $29..Anyone know the name of a $100.strain,what its genetics would(might) be,or who would produce such a high end strain,or what it would offer that can't be gotten from a dozen solid $10. strains?

Collect bag seeds sell them as your high end autoflower bs then skip town if hes dumb enough to trust you breeding he will fall for it.

But for real heavy duty fruity is a strain your describing its half indica/sativa head high with couch lock and super fruity

Why not just get fish bait/ chicken feed hemp seeds costs next to nothing. Use his money to book a trip to Europe and live it up in Amsterdam for 6 months smoking high-grade and whilst banging Holland finest hoes. Send him an email saying you got busted in an FBI sting and you've been under surveillance, he'll probably be too scared to grow them out.

Sorry, but what you are describing is a fool's errand.

First of all, even assuming that you can get your project done (which you can't, see below), nobody is going to spend $100 each for a seed from your unproven genetics, when world-class award-winning genetics from famous breeders (ie ones a lot more experienced and knowledgable than you) is available for under $30 a seed. In fact, you can buy kick-ass seeds for under $10 each, if you know where to look.

Next, there are already any number of high-THC strains out there that are fruity smelling/tasting. What makes you think that your crack at this is going to be better than the MANY similar projects done over the years by many breeders who are (again) better than you, and with much more diverse genetic backgrounds to pull from? In other words, what are you going to do differently that hasn't already been done?

Lastly, its impossible to stabilize any hybrid strain like one you describe in only a year.

It takes at least 6 generations to stabilize any hybrid to create an inbred line (and more is better).

If you assume going from planted seed to harvested seed will take at LEAST 70 days (and probably longer), then it will take at LEAST 14 months just to stabilize your line, and that's assuming EVERYTHING goes perfectly, and ZERO time is wasted along the way. Note that this time doesn't include any time necessary to acquire your parent strains, do the initial crosses and screenings. Realistically, if you want some sativa-influence in your strain, you're probably looking at closer to 10 weeks from seed to seed, and your new strain will be around a two year project.

wow, i haven't been on for a while now. Thanks for all the help guys i really appreciate it but im going to move on, he found someone else to grow for him and the poor fellow is paying $40 a seed. (as i mentioned i was typing to fast and meant $10 a seed) The grower that is making the strain for him has huge grow room i've heard. O well, ill move on to keeping up a steady income selling to my local dispensary :)
