what you say is true, but you have to realize when 2 or more people go into the caregiver/patient relationship, the patient knows or at least should know that the caregiver is in possession of the plants. it all comes down to what the contract is between the party(s) whether is be written or verbal as far as buying/selling. its still not much different than back in the black market days. lot of shady caregivers out there.
what i do is give my patients an 8th ounce every week free of charge, no matter what i produce. any extra they have to buy which they get for a very fair price. in fact it's a better price and better quality than they will find elsewhere and if not i tell them bring me to the source and i will undercut them in price which has yet to happen. sure i do produce well more than a bag a week for everyone but it's not cheap running a medium sized operation and is essentially like running a small business. lot of work and i dont like doing things cheap because usually you get what you pay for. if any patients i caregive for dont like it then they are free to try and grow their own dope and i would care less because i can replace them in a heartbeat. but so far everyone is more than satisfied and never once had a complaint.
i see a lot of the problem is some patients need to quit being stupid and dont just trust anyone as a caregiver. i like the law the way it is except they should allow bigger amounts. no matter what there will always be shady caregivers out there. you just cant trust anyone. you need to do it with a close family member or long time trusted friend. thats the only way i do it and thats why i never have problems anymore. i was once caregiving for a patient and spent about 4 thousand setting up his place. over heard from a friend that he said if things didnt work out he was taking the equipment and not letting me in. i felt bad for the man because of his poor health but after that i went in one day and just started tearing shit down. i told him sorry but if you dont trust me 100%, your letting people in that i dont want around, and he was selling to people without cards. since i felt bad i left him with a couple magnetic ballasts, hoods, lights, and all the plants. i just took my more expensive ballasts and hoods. another patient one time had a swarm of cops over because her boyfriend was always in trouble with the law. ever since all that bullshit i wont even deal with anyone anymore unless they are close to me.
i dont think its the law so much, i think it's people's stupid choices and im not even afraid to admit, i've made stupid decisions like getting involved with the wrong people. live and learn i guess. but yeah i agree with you, way too many greedy asshole caregivers out there. we should all be able to get high at an extremely affordable price. i think medical laws are a huge step in the right direction. its hard to believe that if you know the right sources, excellent homegrown is just as cheap if not cheaper than garbage commercial from mexico.
