Hello

I have a plant in the 3rd week of flowering stage.
Light cycle is from midnight till 12:00 noon.
There will be a power shortage in my building for some maintenance from 07:00 am till 14:00 - this means that my plant won't have any light
during this time.
How bad is it ??????????

Thx in advance for any reply !!

Not horrible, just leave everything alone (except make sure to readjust your timers before the power comes back on, they will still think its 7 am) and resume as normal the following day. Nothing bad should come of it, and any loss in yield will be so little you would never notice.

yep what he said ... just keep them in dark until the power isback on and reset ur timers so it turns on from that point.. and shut off 12hrs later.

So you say i should change the entire lightcycle ?
If the power comes back at 14:00 i should give her light from 14:00 till 19:00 and then darkness till 07:00 am and light again till 19:00 ?
i would like to revert back to my original midnight - noon cycle....

No change nothing!!!
OK let me go through this step by step.
Wait until the power goes out and to your timer, turn it to one pm (13:00) (*just the dial don't change your time settings) regardless what time it is. This will insure that any power surges or on/off flashes dont turn on your lights.
Wait until the power comes back on and set it to the correct time (again just the dial not your settings), assuming that it is after noon.
So lets say that they actually start at 8 am, get in there asap after this and adjust the timer to noon where it will have the lights turned off. Now if the power comes back on at 11, don't fuck with it, just leave the lights off. Wait until after one and then adjust the timer dial to the actual time. Do not turn the lights on during this, use as little light as possible to see the timer.
What this will cause is one long night that is from 7 am till midnight, which will just make the plant make more hormones. Then things will be right back to normal for you.

My only thought here is you are turning your lights on at midnight, so do you water right after lights on or wait till morning? You should always water within a few hours (6 or less) of lights turning on, helps prevent powdery mildew.

when the power goes out just leave them alone as if it was your normal lights out time , then turn them back on at your normal tiime , dont turn your light back on when your power comes back up , wait til your reg time , follow your cycle as if nothing happened.

well consider this.. what we said was the best way in terms of not stressing your plant... less light is better than too much light..yes u need to change your light cycle... if your doin 12/12 then set ur timers to turn on when the power comes on at 14:00 and shut off 12hours later... so in essence all u did was momentarily let let sleep in the dark for an extra few hours.. less stressful.

if you want to revert back to your old time try to shift it back using the darkness method over time... or you could change the timers back toyour original cycle after the first lighting (next day) ..just trynot to stress the plant.. its key.

Got it.
Just gonna make sure that the timer is set correctly when the power comes back on and the plants will be ok on their regular schedule,
even though they missed 5 hours of light.
Excellent. Thank you all so much !
Appreciate it

Too bad u aren't in a more private setting, like a house with no close neighbors, and could just take them outside for the period of power outtage... Then u could just leave everything alone inside, and move them back inside after the power has been restored... Just a thought... But, if u r in an apt with a buncha eyes all around, then this would be a horrible idea....
