the only part i disagree with is this. butane will not evap from cannabis resin if the resin is not warm. the viscosity of the resin needs to be reduced, to allow the tane to evap. this can be accomplished with the use of 180 degree water bath or hot plate.

seems when my oil comes out of the tami, it's hot,(heated) and then I cook it too on a hot plate at 180. I didnt think about the butane really, cook off was for decarboxylation, as the tane was removed/vac 100% per weight before the cook off.

post edit: turns out you are just copying mr miyagi (the breeder). Please pick a new name, its very confusing to have two socal mr miyagis. and he was using it long before you were. now i really don't feel bad using the image you put together, basically copyright infringement, and you stole your name from a breeder who lives a couple hours from you. not a lot of originality points today... how old were you when karate kid part 1 came out? I recapture 100% of the ntane, if I have an hour to wait. sometimes I need to blast dried overages before I harvest, so rushing it I could easily be happy with 50%. but the other 50 is purged form the oil and is vented with a 40 foot tube to a window/valve. The weight of the butane within the oil is very clear, and easily monitored, to .1g

I use 400 grams of n-butane to extract from about 2.5 oz of material completed in a few minutes-1/2 hour. then using temperature to manipulate the liquid butane between oil, and recapture--recap tank is frozen, while the oil/tane tank is heated to under 100f, when the valve cracks 100% of the butane can be seen filling up the recap tank, via the digital scale it's resting on. 400 in 400 out. heating cooling techniques will make the difference between a one hour complete recap or a 24hr recap.

a bucket of ice, freezer, hot plate, bucket of hot water, heating pad, nitrogen, dry ice...are some of the techniques I've used. now its a hotplate, and a small freezer,laser temp,pressure gage.

According to the Material Safety Data Sheet for Vector, it only contains n-Butane, iso-Butane and Propane. It does not contain any other gases, and it does not contain mercaptan.

Yeah power doesn't have one...but I am fairly certain it is a mixture of n-butane and iso-butane at 79% and propane at 21%.

Ronsonol? You mean Ronson? It's not very good quality.

If that's the only stuff strong enough to get you high then you are trippin'. Roll a blunt of dank up and smoke it by yourself. Roll a couple of fat joints up and smoke those by yourself. BHO is weed. It may be more bang for the weight but if it gets you high, the weed it was made from will get you high too. Maybe take a break from the BHO and go back to the old school. Even vape it if you don't want all the extra crap from smoking J's or Blunts, or Bongs. There's no way you won't get high.

no man, its not like that. just smoking leaves all the time is boring. Like, you could just drink your mash without fermenting it too. It would get you blasted, but the fermented results would be the whip compared. one dot of oil sends us to the moon, without all the combustion byproducts. We all vape, extract, roll, for 40 years or more. but the oil is the ultimate when made correctly.
Although I've never used them, I even make extract suppositorys for a patient with cancer. they cant smoke or vape with a trach/oxygen, so topical and suppository is the only way for them. I use the 000 size glyc capsules and they send her to the moon.
I'm also working with a physician group who is producing the female counterpart to viagra, in the same suppository vehicle.

I don't know if it's the same for everybody else but smoking a lot of flowers just makes me really sluggish...as opposed to bho and full melt which give me a much cleaner and motivated high, plus I don't have to consume hardly any plant matter

I'm all for the full melt hash. I have just never been a big fan of extraction. Neither through alcohol or butane. Just me. Mary Jane Ganja Titties is all I need. I also disagree with the claim of sluggishness. That'd just be the weed your smoking. Doesn't matter much though. To each his own. Peace for sure fellow smokers.
