First attempt at DWC. Advice please!

I taped foil on the 2 gallon bucket but forgot to wrap the 5g... It's going to be a week tomorrow so I'll change out the water and take it up... I was too excited and skipped that step lol

At the moment yes but when I get the money I'm going to get the material and put it on the walls and buckets. I heard foil will start burning then. I'm checking out your thread... Good shit man! I wish I had some legit seeds lol

Definitely! Like I said I just got excited and got to it lol but when I put in the mylar or whatnot ima set it up clean as fuck

Good deal, haha. How's that bucket basket? I am really hoping to upgrade to 3.5 gal rez's & bucket baskets. Maybe have a bucket with a lot of small netpots for cloning too. Love your setup mane. +rep

I'm content with the 5g just because it's how I started but it's a big bucket and a small grow space so I'm thinking about transporting to another 2g so it can stem out a tad more. Na mean? I was thinkin about getting one of rubbermaid tote like yours to just put multiple netpops like yours but I think I'll just do that next grow Lol good lookin out g! Start faded!

a nice thing about dwc is that you can always move your little netpot to a bigger bucket without any transplant stress or harm. i love it.

It is a waste of material! Lol I learned that quick as hell. I went to home depot to look for black buckets but they didn't have any which I thought to be odd. Ima just keep it going low this for now though...

You could just as easily do that with your five gal, I wouldn't mess up a bucket basket - I'd prolly use the lid & stick a couple netpots in it. Clonin' haha. Greentrees has some 3.5 gal buckets that're a bit shorter but the same diameter around the top of 5 gal, so your bucket basket would fit & you'd able to grow your plant a bit taller aswell.

Today I changed out the water the water on my 5g DWC. This is my oldest 
I'm going to start stretching it tonight.
This one sprouted about days ago.
I decided to grow this in my 2g DWC instead of what I currently have in. there right now which isn't doing too good.

Idk if it's just me but it doesn't look good...
This is after having swapped them out
I didn't realize it had rooted out so quickly and know I traumatized it pretty bad... A also noticed that the rockwool is REALLY WET. Should I just set the net pop back in or leave it out for a couple days? SUGGESTIONS PLEASE!
That's basically it for now folks. Stay tuned...

I would love to do a 5gal Res bubbler, but I'm fairly limited in space, as u can see with my PC setup
I do have a cabinet in the build which is about 2'x2'x3' which will have a 150w hps.
I'm still learning too, learn from your mistakes they always say, I made plenty of mistakes on my last grow but still got a result (85grams dry)
Half the fun is learn by doing
I also read alot of other ppls threads and pick up hints n tips to use in my setups
Keep at it man!

Firsttimeare: it's human feces. LOL jk it's some of the soil from the pot in which I sprouted the seed before transplanting it. I traumatized it pretty bad so I put some on top so the root won't get light.

i would just cover it with a peace of white reflective paper. perosnally dont have exp in using soil with rockwool but soil and rw both have pretty high ph to start with. would seem it would mess with ph swings?

I don't have any reflective material... Two questions. Any household items I can use a it? I see what you mean when you talk about the ph but should I put it back the bucket? seeing as how the rockwool gets really wet or should I leave it out and water it some for a couple days?
