Running a single 150HPS in a 3x3 tent and temps have been hovering at about 79F. Will be adding a second 150W in a few days and am a little concerned about the heat.... any idea how much this might raise my temps??? can always turn on the ac I know... but it's a little early.. ty in advance~

was what I was hoping to hear...ty Phillip. I've got the air in there moving pretty well so I was kind of thinking it might only be a slight increase....but definitely didnt want to have to deal with a 10 degree spike or something...
Ty again!

No way 10 degrees. Not even 5. Those 150w lights really don't give off much heat. Is it air cooled? If not then maybe 4-6 degrees max. If it's a problem try air cooling them

Its not air cooled.... its one of those mini sunburst all-in-one jobs. I do have a fan pulling 190cfm... plus a small booster on my intake... and then a vornado oscillating fan moving everything around... so I'm convinced I'm moving a decent amount of air. Guess I have to wait and see.... and if it spikes kick on the AC...lol!! In your opinion, at what temp should I start getting nervous??? I generally dont like seeing even 80... but I know the plants could probably handle it~

instead of 2 150 watters get 1 400 watt. thats what i did and its better anyways 400w is 55,000 lumens 2 150w is only 32,000 lumens.

If you don't have a Co2 generator or bottle in your room then I really wouldn't want to see temps over 82 degrees. 78 is perfect I have always thought. If you have Co2 then you can go to 86. Just remember, it's not so much the temperature of your room as it is the temperature on your plant canopy. Hang a thermometer right next to the tops of your plants and take readings from there. This is the temp that really counts.

I dont have a tank but have been looking into one of those bags you hang in the tent as a half-assed substitute.... figure something is better than nothing

dam that shits hott man, ive had a 39in by 39in by 79in tent with a 400watt MH in it (used a 3200k bulb to flower) and mine was fine (was in a basement) so if u can move to the basement or switch that ac on.. or just buy one lighting system youll b greezy

you really need to aircool lights if you're running a tent... Enclosed spaces with HID lamps are going to get hot.

If you're running 150w lamps, just know that they wont penetrate worth dick.
Check out some SCRoG threads for ideas to get the most bang out of those lights

well.... I have an update... just put in the second 150HPS.... kept the two 100w blackstars as well. Temp leveled off at 81.8 at the canopy under the HID... slightly less under the led's and about 78 on the floor. Pretty warm day today so I'm considering it kind of a success.... I guess...lol!
Here's a pic just for good measure~
These are Sam the Skunkmans freebies btw... kind of a crazy mix of phenos.... the one in the middle is the saddest looking thing ever... seems to be the only Sativa of the bunch... I think it was his mixed seeds x skunk/haze #1 ..... something like that... anyway... going into 12/12 tonight because they are supposedly very prone to stretching and a long flowering time... if things go well I'll keep posting pics or maybe start a new thread if anyone is interested...
anyway.... ty everyone for all of the advice and knowledge~:leaf:
