I've run multiple batches of bubble hash using this method, and I absolutely love it! I use trim, and lowers, and each batch has improved as I go.
I recently harvested some Serious Seeds bubblegum, and found a few of my lower branches came in contact with my soil. The buds had some dirt/perolite on them, so I didn't want to make bubble out of them being contaminated like this ..... but they were really nice lowers, so I didn't want to toss them either. So, I decided to give them a 5 day water cure in an effort to remove the soil, and still salvage the bud to use for bubble hash.
The end result was excellent! My hash went from being a light-ish brown color, to an almost white-sand type color. It is by far my best batch to date. Have any of you tried water curing your bud before making bubble, and if so did you notice any benefit/improvement with the end product?
My guess would be that the water cure not only removed the visible contaminants, but it also refined the marijuana even further by removing excess salts (for those of you not growing organically) chlorophyll, etc thus creating a more pure finished product.
Is there anything here, or am I just imagining things?
