I'm amazed so many people use so few additives. I mean I have grown plenty of times without a bunch of additives but I have seen big improvement over not using them. I don't use sweeteners but some of those additives bring things out of a plant that you can't do with water and a base nutrient. Bud XL for an example really does help bring the plant use up the sugars in a plant without adding any Carbs that the plant would normally waste and not use.. I have grown plants without Bud XL and with it and I saw a huge different in trich formations with the 1 getting Bud XL having a lot more trichs and an overall better taste. All it is is an Enzyme also. I refuse to use stuff like Bud Candy because a plant doesn't even use the carbs you try giving it but the Mycos do like it.

I am also a person that has grown organic and didn't notice a difference in taste, purity just a difference in yield and bag appeal(negatively but not a big difference at all to the point where I wouldn't do it I just won't use it indoor but outdoor everytime). I am sure I am in the minority on RIU but a lot of people I know in Norcal only grow organic outdoor and Chem indoor. Kind of like people claiming Soil tastes much better than soilless but from my experience I don't notice any difference besides the way the plant grows(I love less leaves on a plant which results in better light penetration and overall better yield)

I am not arguing against anyone's method because everyone has their own and if it didn't work it wouldn't be their method. I am only talking about what I have found to work for me in my time growing so I give every1 props. I do believe a lot of Additives are scams and don't do much and some times what they use has been proven to do very little like the sweeteners I mentioned(This was my point of making this thread to find out what people have found to love and found to not work at all). That being said not everything is a scam and some products really do work. I guarantee if a person has the same experience as the person beside them and grow the same plant and 1 uses RE that person WILL have a better root system than the person not using it. It is the one product I have just seen off the wall results while using compared to not using.

Mighty Crobes. Works just as good as root excellurrator and voodoo juice, but is only $40/ gallon. Although you have to use more (1oz per gallon), it's nice to not have to spend hundreds on beneficial bacteria.

You realize Roots Excelurator isn't just a beneficial bacteria? Actually that is just a small part of what it is. I use Great White for my beneficial Bacteria, Mycos, and Trichoderma. For the Price Roots Excelurator is actually cheaper also to mix per gal because Roots Excelurator uses 1 ml per gal. Voodoo Juice is comparable to what you mentioned but Advanced pulled their product that was comparable to RE off the shelf because he said he couldn't make anything that compared too it.

Mighty Crobes is about 5 cents more per gal to mix so in the long run that will really add up. Plus they aren't very similar.

Well, I will be honest. I've never used root excellurator so I can't really speak. I just assumed it was a similar product to one of AN's beneficial bacterias. But I have used voodoo juice and mighty crobes, and noticed no difference either way. With Mighty crobes thew roots were in the reservoir after 1 week and they were massive by 2 weeks.

If you haven't tried it out I really recommend it. I've used Voodoo Juice at the collective I worked at and it isn't even comparable to RE. Here is a link if you are interested a lot of people here use it and swear by it. I mean too me it says something when the company that is all about making money off people(Advanced) pulled their product that was similar and publicly said to buy Roots Excelurator. If I only used 1 additive it would be RE.

Root excelurator is truly the shit. Definitely a must have... Roots just love it. Truly one of a kind. The only outside additive that AN endorses over their voodoo juice
