Growing Blue Dream from seed (also has to stay like 8" tall)

As you can see from the title i have a blue dream seed that i just started to germ today. I have about a 2 quart bowl ill be growing in (this is because roots determine height. At least i read that on a grow site.) I have everything set up in a 1x2x1 so it has to be really tiny. I will be topping and defoliating the plant so it will stay short. I'm just curious if this is going to work, or am i just wasting my time? thanks

Edit: its going under direct 12/12 too. If you're going to tell me it's not going to stay short you're wrong I've done a lot of research into this.

i would look into lst..that way the plant can have nice healthy roots and itll still be super small.

8 inches tall....?? Dude... dont even bother wasting your time, if it has to stay under 8 inches tall. I have the original cut of Blue Dream (I didnt know there were seeds of it) and the plant likes to do its thing. Its not a plant your gonna be able to keep under 8 inches tall.

lst and top fairly quickly also if yoy can find a shallow but wide container it will give you a few extra inches although you may have to find a way to tie the plant so it stands up and doesnt fall over once its top heavy with buds. kinda a waste of time but fuck enjoy the grow and experience and the killer fat blunt at the end.. you will probably only get one but oh well it 1 more than you had right and it will be that much better cause its yours. Where did you get the blue dream seed from? Also, how much?

Seed is kind of a bag seed. i picked up a quarter of BD for $80 and its the only other seed that came from the oz.

Oh man... bag seeds in awesome weed are some times the best things to get.

You could get a hermie Blue Dream plant, or a female or if the grower had some other nice strain in his room that dropped pollen, then you might have yourself a nice little Blue Dream cross right there.

I always hang on to bagseed that comes from really bomb weed. It could be some super awesome strain that a grower never wanted to get it and now you have a seed of it in your hands.

Good stuff man... and good luck. I would really try and gain more headroom on that though. 8 inches and your really just wasting your time. The plant would be too small to actually produce any good smoke. Give yourself at least a foot and a half of head room minimum

Im not sure where you got the 6 inch thing from. I've never heard of that, but then again, I would never attempt that, nor would any of my grower buddies. So good luck with that, but I wouldnt do it.

And why would a hermie be good?? A hermie should be the last thing you want.

Update: my seed is beginning to show the roots. they haven't fully emerged but from looking at the side i can see some white poking through. I will be trying LST and topping. ill keep everyone posted.

here's the setup. it looks like trash and i hope it'll work. tin foil for reflecting light onto the plant. its a 100 watt CFL bulb

ive also taken to making a larger grow box so she/he/it will have a little more head room and room to branch than just this little space. thanks Desr, Ktown, and Elite ill be trying what you guys have said thanks for everyone's input

hermies are no good man.. they produce hermis.. we want regular seeds only.. no fem.. no hermi.. go on youtube watch greenhouse seeds.. videos .. he says 100% feminized.. then a minute later says wow its really full of seeds eh.. and minutes before that the farmer says the males in the fem seeds are no good as in the hermis are fucin garbage...

Feminized seeds don't produce hermies, crappy growers do that with their poor growing conditions.

Blue dream is a clone only strain. Your seeds won't be strong same as the blue dream you are used to, but may show some similar traits.
