Anybody in here also a butterfly?
Perfection
A perfect, pretty smile
rests upon her perfect face
As she preaches her perfection
and how I can get a taste.
She tells me be the brightest
be the smartest, be the best
Be everything she asks of me
I know she won't take less.
Well I finally found perfection,
and mom, just like you said
It was right there at my fingers
I just had to use my head.
See my good friend Mia taught me
(and i've found it to be true)
about fingertips and perfect
Here's a dose of that for you:
I will be the perfect person
I will be the perfect weight
I'll be disciplined but hungry
As I push away my plate.
But i'll laugh a perfect laugh
and plaster on a perfect smile,
Then jam my fingers down my throat
until i'm puking perfect bile.
Then your perfect friends will ask me
"How'd you get to be so thin?"
But i'll keep my perfect secret
safe behind my perfect grin.
I'll be the perfect daughter, mom,
thin and pretty, smart and clever.
I'll be the brightest and the best
in everything I know you'll measure.
I will push beyond my limits
I will test my human form
til my body is collapsing
til my blood's no longer warm
til my form is thin and weightless
til my bones are weak as glass...
Then you can take your perfect standards
and shove them up your perfect ass.
