Didn't watch the video but I have heard her talk about political stuff before, She has one thing right in that the monetary system is the root of all evil and she is a nice lady but she is basically a commie , so no I don't like her she is very philosophically challenged like most commies and extreme lefties, good intentioned.. but borderline retarded when it comes to actual political philosophy.
I am having genuine trouble defining your perspective. So you are suggesting that anyone who accepts anything Marxist is automatically a "commie" and therefore philosophically challenged? Or are you simply suggesting she is? The way you chose your words, you implied both. Basically, you are assuming that other people will blindly accept the implied premise, that Marxist philosophy is purely fallacious and that to accept any part of it as viable is diametrically opposed to the ideals all Americans should hold dear (demagogy). This is what conservative (right wing politics) are at the core, any set of political philosophy designed to bring about a government that resembles earlier versions with centralized power. Generally speaking, reform is left wing, preservation is right wing. In a land of established egalitarian social justice, right wing becomes reform, but it is still right wing. Stalin was right wing. Hitler was right wing. One of them was a communist, the other was socialist. Socialism is not egalitarian when only Aryans are citizens. This is why social democracy brings changes resembling socialism as soon as minorities are given the right to vote. Soviet communism is not the same as "Marxist philosophy", they got it wrong. That would be like calling our economy a free market, it isn't really, it pretends to be, but judge a tree by it's fruit, it is the worst of both worlds. Never once was an egalitarian society achieved in the Soviet Union, nor will it ever be achieved in our land if we continue as we have been. Labeling all leftist philosophy as some anti-American commy sorcery is all too common in this country.
I don't have anything particular against a free market, but ours isn't. So are you afraid that an egalitarian society will require you to have less?
So let me explain to you what is meant by left and right since you
seem to need a lesson on political philosophy. During the French Revolution, the members of the national assembly formed in two groups, one group on the right, and one group on the left. Not all the people on the left agreed with each other, but they all generally stood for progressive agendas and social justice, while the right generally defended the king and also did not all see eye to eye. I don't deny that every single person in that room had some flaws overall as well as some good ideas. The problem was the willingness to use the guillotine politically, not that they had different ideas. Evil is the root of all evil, not money, human corruption is the flaw of all political philosophies. Blame the persons, not the people. The right wing in it's extreme, would let masses of poor people simply starve and the left would notoriously commence on a political bloodbath. I wouldn't agree with either side or any moderate position between them. Using that left right paradigm today is almost just an analogy but still our moderate positions seem to take the worst of both camps instead of the best of both.
I'm not defending Roseann Barr, I'm just issuing rebuttal to the implication that Marxism equates to blasphemy. Grow out of the cold war sentiments and join the 21st century. Beware of anyone trying to inspire fear in order to obtain your support. True Marxism is scientific. Of course now that I am a "commie" nobody has to debate with me, they can just point and laugh and never feel stupid for saying stupid shit, I love how republicans are collectively stupid. It reminds me of a religion.
