Anyone Grown Big Bomb or Cheese

HPS makes the plant want to stretch. To the plant HPS light is like its sunset all day long so it signals it to grow taller. Its good to use HPS after flowering has set in and the stretch is over because the plant wont be able to stretch as much once in flower, and HPS is the most efficient way to get light to the plants so its the best thing to use for flower. You'll get better results if you use a MH in veg, until after the stretch. But you can use HPS too if you want.

You must know what your EC is roughly? How much nutrients are you mixing in the water?

Me too, wanna see if I'm catching up or falling behind. They took the 700ppm with no burning so they ought to be pumping up pretty fast

You do have the extreme advantage of being in hydro, I am always shocked when I see how fast seedlings become like a bush in a hydro setup

Well I thought I would upload some of my Big Bomb's in the meantime. They are freshly transplanted into what may be either half gallon or 1 gallon pots, I can't tell. Just kinda mashed the rootball into the new soil, I don't know what everyones' on about that you have to be "carefull" when transplanting. I guess they mean don't drop the seedling on the floor or throw it at the wall...
There not that sensitive!
Mashed the roots all up and didn't even droop. I wanted to fit as much medium under the rootzone for future growth, incase your wondering why I would mash the rootzone.

Also learned the easiest way to clone! Take an 8 inch cutting leave it in water/h202 4 inches up in a beer can with a dab of rooting gel on the tip and in your veg space. Wait about a week or until you see nubbing happening on the stem. Ramfuck it into some soil 4 inches deep and youv'e got yourself a plant, no leaf trimming, no humidity dome, no misting.
Easy

Here's my Big Bomb. I culled out 6 of the 10 seedlings and I'm hoping to get 2 females form the remaining 4

There getting half strength nutrients right now and seem to be thriving quite nicely.

Its Berry Bomb; but kept at about 15 degrees celcius at nights.. and about 25 degree celcius during the day (lights on)

thats the only way the bud goes that purple man... cant do that with my current grow.. unless i run in the air conditioner during the nights but i cant be fucked bro..

im thinking about going home and putting them back into veg.... but im paranoid ill run out of room or getting into rooting problems because two plants are in the one tray which is a little under sized for the plants im growing lol.. damn.. what to do?

Flower them out dude. You'll be playing it safer if you do. If you put them back in veg you might run into a problem like your saying. They won't be in flower yet though so if you wanted to put them back to 18/6 they probably wouldnt miss a beat.

I think there are some other factors that help bring out the purple/blue in plants. I can't remember which one but you can starve them of either P or K and that will cuase the purpling, also I believe MH light will bring it out a bit more than HPS. You can probably also grow the plant out normally and then only use the cool night trick for the last week or two. You wouldnt want to do the 15 degree nights all flower long or youd hurt your yield

Flo is an interesting strain I'm considering growing in the future. It definately has the purple genetics. The odd thing about this strain is that the plants need to be harvested over a period of time rather than all at once. Harvest starts after 55 days and continues for 10 weeks(supposedly)

My Big Bomb just went into 12/12. I don't know the exact dates but I think it was roughly 3 weeks in 18/6 from seed.

You flowering soon Micko?

What strain did you grow that took 13 weeks? It certainly wasn't Big Bomb

That's cool man veg away... I'm only going into flower because the Kali Mist plants can't keep vegging forever. A couple more weeks will do your big bombs lots of good, though I was kinda hoping to see the side by side between my coco and your hydro flowering at the same time
