0202121154.jpgit is peat moss and perilite and limestone

ill get a pic up with my phone, it is ground up pretty good, it actually sucks by itself it become reallly "muddy" and dense when you water it.

Huh. For some reason I thought it would act more like coco fiber. How fast does it dry? I like mixing with coco but had a hard time using it on its own. Seems like the non soil fibrous grow mediums are initially hydrophobic and a pain to get wet, and then they get REALLY wet and heavy, and then dry out super super fast. I've seen others grow amazingly with it but for me it's too close to hydro for my dirty brain to grasp.

yes it does seem hydrophobic, what i do (this is how i ruined my camera trying to video this process)

is i fill up a 5 gal bucket with water or tea or a nutrient solution, all depends on what i want to introduce to the medium. i then take the plant in the container and set it in the bucket, it floats initially but begins to sink gradually, once the containrer drops to the bottom of the bucket and is completly submerged i watch for air bubble escaping the top, when i see no more bubbles i pick it up and let it drain out well. im not sure how many times im going to have to do this throughout my grow but it seems to work well.

well they didnt have any happy frog potting soil so went with the FFOF, still organic so it should work just fine and my plants are well past the seedling stage.

well after alot of work i have transplanted everything into what may be its final container(i may replant the frisian dew but it got my biggest pot i have aside from a 5 gal bucket)

the blue cheese is in the tent for now to conserve a bit of electricity, once i switch to flower is going to go into the dresser cab under the CFL.

got my new camera, havent had mych time to fuck with it but seems to take decent pics. http://www.fujifilm.com/products/digital_cameras/s/finepix_s3300/

the plants in the blue pots are bagseed, they will stay in them pots.

the 2 plants in the red pots are the auto hobbit and frisian dew, the dew got the bigger pot as the hobbit is a auto so just going to let it grow out in a smaller pot.

the plant in the 10gal tote is the blue cheese, as you can see i have a screen to fill and this one will probally be in vegg for a good while BUT....i will be taking clones from it as i go to flower out, anyways enough babble heres some pics ENJOY!!!

oh and the small plants in the popcorn containers are starting to go back to vegg, i even did a small experiment and chopped one of the buds off one, left 2 brown/yellow/green fan leaves (they were not in good shape) and the son of a bitch is growing like crazy still, just a idea of what you can put this plant through and it still keeps the will to survive, hell i probally could have cut one of the leaves off and left it with just one fan leaf and it would have come back!!!!!

the growth in the middle is all new, when i cut it it was just tjem 2 fan leaves

nice setup man.... What is that u got dried there??? U make your own soil bro?
the bud in the pic that is harvested is just bagseeds, i harvested early due to wanting to open up some space for current grow.

i just mixed up a bunch of shit, not sure how its going to turn out, the list is a page or 2 back.

Alright, small update.

like i said above i went out and got a couple items to do a mini bubble setup heres my list

Duct tape (need this for any project imo)
folgers coffee container (large)
garcia vega cigar tube
fish tank air pump
tubing for pump
Hydro balls, i dont have a local hydro store but i do have a local pet store. they sell these for high humidity loving reptiles and they are i believe the exact same thing as hydroton
small tupperware container.

heres the pics, im using some MG plant food as nutes in the system for now, hopign i didnt mix it too hot as it is so small. i dont really have a PH meter or any special tools so just running with it. I did not want to germ another seed so i uprooted one of my bagseed seedlings and just put that in there. the system seems to be working alright right now will see in a couple of days if the roots find thier way through the holes and down into the rezz.

Hey matt how much mg u put in if more than 1/8 tea. id get really low on the mg, almost pure water till u see roots it will need some nights to recover from the transplant it will do good roots first though theyre tender coming in to hydro especially on the mg but nice setup u should try a 2 liter with any medium exect soil and compare.
