hello there, is it okay to grow for the first time with 4 cfl's/24w. the space is quite small 50x50x80 and i want just 1 indica plant.
That is enough, you wont get the greatest yield though.. You can always just veg with the 4 24w daylight bulbs. then switch them for the 34w 2700k when you flowerhello there, is it okay to grow for the first time with 4 cfl's/24w. the space is quite small 50x50x80 and i want just 1 indica plant.
, remember that fluorescent’s are weaker and emit less light than an HID. This means you will need 5 times the amount of wattage to equal the output of an HID. So, 30 watts of HID would equal 150 watts of fluorescent’s. This is why it is advised to provide a minimum of 30 watts per square foot for HID lights and a minimum of 150 watts per square foot for fluorescent’s. +rep if you find this helpfulhello there, is it okay to grow for the first time with 4 cfl's/24w. the space is quite small 50x50x80 and i want just 1 indica plant.
I cant guess on the yield, but i can tell you a few ways to increase the yield...number 1, Study and read up on Low Stress Training(LST) there is also scrog which is another for of training...but i'd go with lst if i where you goodluckthe space, i wrote in centimeters, and about the yield, could you prescript the amount?
or tell me how can i increase the yield?
No Problem,,,goodluck with the growthank you all
u should use 27k 48 watt bulbs to flower. its just about the biggest u can go in cfl before the change the way its mounted. they sell them at walmart for around ten bucks. altho if u went and got a 150 hps it would do work compared to the cfls for flowering. 16000 lumens with one bulb compared to the shit ton of cfls u would need to get that amount of lumens. That is enough, you wont get the greatest yield though.. Those 85W bulbs sell for around $35, and are too heavy to directly plug into anything but a fixture without support. For the same cost, you can buy 4-42W and get better coverage with over twice the wattage.I just bought an 85w 6500k CFL and a 65w 2500k cfl from a local lighting store. They have the same mount as a regular bulb, but they are huge! The 85w is about 11 inches long.
instead of wasting your money on a huge bulb and spending around 15 bucks on one bulb do yourself a favor and buy packs of cfls you can get 4 or 5 with less watts for the same price even less my homedepot sells em 4 packs for ten bucks!! as for one really big one that you will have no idea how to hang. cfls are not like MH/Hps lumes are lost fast and having one just on top in stupid. spread that wattage around with smaller bulbs as close to every foliage you have.I just bought an 85w 6500k CFL and a 65w 2500k cfl from a local lighting store.
